Disclaimer; I will try my hardest to make the characters actually like the characters from the movie. However, they are aged up resulting in obvious tweeking to their character. I assure you this is a Reddie story, just gotta introduce characters somehow.

"My name is Richie Tozier-" his sentence was interrupted by the ball of spit covered paper that hit him in the face.

"Seriously dude?" Richie said sighing as he wiped off the residue on his face. "I have to ace this stupid presentation or I'll be fucked and it would be really cool if you could stop being an ass."

"Maybe I don't want you to ace the presentation."

Richie sighed as he took a seat next to his best friend, he'd already told him this once but he knew he'd have to tell him again.

"Listen man, you know I don't want to leave this place, you, or the gang but my mom literally can not afford to live here anymore. If I get into this school then I get to move to the east coast because they'll pay for basically everything. Here my mom has to pay for the schooling."

"I know Rich, but what will happen to the party without you?"

"I'll keep in touch."

"Yeah, but you'll move on. Find new friends."

"I mean unless I wanna be a freak with no friends yeah, but you'll always be my best friend."

"You say that now-"

"...and I'll continue to say that forever. If I do get accepted I'll call every night okay?"

"Okay, thanks Richie." The taller boy smiled.

"Good now that that's settled, can you help me with my presentation?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry."

Richie got up from the brown couch. "No need to be sorry, everyone has feelings. Now pip pip and tally ho let's get this show on the road."

"What are you applying to get into?"

"The English major, can't be that hard, considering i speak it and all."

Ryan nodded in agreement and let Richie begin to speak.

-Two Months Later.-

Today was sunday morning and Richie was sitting at table eating frosted flakes while reading the sunday comics, the usual.

"Richie!" He heard his mother call from upstairs.

"Yeah?!"

"Can you please grab the mail?"

"Yeah!" He got up from the chair and opened the front door and quickly grabbed the mail from the mailbox, it was july and California's weather had no mercy.

The one out of the two letters made his heart drop.

Richard Tozier

Berwick Academy

He quickly opened the the envelope and read what the paper had said.

"Mom!" He yelled a smile plastered on his face.

"What?"

"We're going to Maine!"

He heard the shuffling from her room and the footsteps race to the door way.

"You're kidding?"

"I would never."

His mom raced to him and pulled him into an embrace. "I'm so fucking proud of you, kid."
