Hello and welcome to my story! I will try to update on a schedule, but I am very busy with school. So keep that in mind if I don't update the usual times I do. Before continuing after reading the prologue, I will be adding on who the main characters are.

There once was peace in this world. Seven guardians to protect it and its kingdoms. Everything was perfect, that is, until one day. He came. He destroyed the peace and harmony. He destroyed everything.

The guardians worked together to try and defeat him. But they perished. It is said that there would be new guardians to replace the old ones. That the new guardians will come together and fight off the ever-consuming darkness. The Guardian of the Realm will lead the other guardians to a war that is still faught today.

The guardians were...

Elenore, the Light guardian.

Kage, the Shadow guardian.

Eria, the Wind guardian.

Aspen, the Nature guardian.

Zara, the Water guardian.

Liam, the Fire guardian.

And Resa, the Guardian of the Realm.

Resa died in battle... making me take the place of her. I have no idea how to use any of the powers that she had. The other more experienced guardians tried to help me figure it out. I mean. In the process, I figured out how to use a sword though. I wonder if my friend would ever believe me that I went to a whole different dimension! I also wonder if I would be able to ever get back to earth. Back home.

"Rue! Are you ready?" Eria yelled.

"Yeah! I'll be out in a minute! I just need to grab something!" I called out, lifting my head as I was going through some of Resa's old things, looking for anything or something useful.

I pulled out this odd looking map and took it, placing it in my bag that I'm bringing. I shoved it in my bag and went to walk out of the temple.... who knew this would be the last time I would be going out with the rest of these guardians.

I sure didn't

"Don't think that this is the end, I will help the new guardians once they come. And you will deeply regret what you have done." I said as I turned on my heel and went to walk out of the dark area.

When I finally reached to where we lived. Well, where I live, everyone is dead. Gone. I don't know when the new guardians would be replaced, all I know is that I'll be alone... for who knows how long. I don't know if I would be able to stand it.

After about a two and a half day walk I returned home. It was a pretty well kept base. It was in the middle of a clearing and it seemed like the base was connected to a few of the trees. There was a garden so there is a fresh supply of fruits and vegetables. Inside was as nice as it looked outside. I know I'm not from here, but this is basically my second home.

"Rue, where are the others?" A voice said behind me.

I turned around really quickly and looked at who spoke. I relaxed when I saw that it was just Charlie, the guardian assistant. Charlie was a elf. And considered the 'assistant' to the guardians. So, thankfully we had been able to be helped by him.

"Charlie... they all died." I said quietly.

Charlie's eyes widen when I said that. He was quiet as he looked at me. I just kinda nodded a little. I walked past Charlie and went to my room. I dropped by bag by my door and took the time to go through all the other guardians rooms to see what they had in their rooms and to see what I would be able to use later on or to train. Anything that would be able to help me later on in life.

While I was looking I found something, this letter that I got from Resa. Resa must've wrote it before she died. I remembered when I first arrived in this room down bellow the whole structure, I just got dropped off at school, I had a granola bar in my mouth, I thought I was alone when I actually wasn't, the others were actually in there. I sighed and started to reread the letter.

Rue Celeste Phoenix,-

You may be wondering who I am. I am Resa, the guardian of the realm. Now. I don't have long to write this. They are after me, after the us. I had gone out alone to write this to you. Rue, you and the rest of the guardians are to defeat the dark king. You will hopefully succeed. There will be someone to lead you seven when we're all gone.

Since I had trouble with finding my powers myself, I figured you would be able to figure it out. You can-

It then cuts off. The letter stopped there. Blood was splattered onto the letter. I then looked at the crumbled up a bit and that it was ripped and burned a little. It made me think that she was killed as she was writing. Mainly due to the blood.
