There she sat, alone in the café, sipping from her cup of warm coffee the waiter just handed her, looking at her laptop and doing her work like her life depended on it. She just sat there, knowing if she took another glance at the cute boy at the table next to hers she'll be distracted. She couldn't afford to be distracted. She had such big plans; ones that were too important. She kept on studying, happilly. She was happy because for the first time in a so long, she was the only priority she had. She didn't have anyone else that came first, beside for her nan of course.
The waiter came back with a cupcake and handed it to her with a smile, she looked up at him with a confused look on her face,she didn't order it.
"It's on the house." he said.
"Oh, thank you." she answered
Still confused, she smiled and took a bite, and didn't think much of it. They sell the best cupcakes in town so, she was delighted with the sweet piece of dessert that melted in her mouth like cotton candy.
Few hours of studying, One Direction music blasting through her earphones, and three cups of coffee later, she was ready to go home.
She thanked the waiters and gave them one of her heart warming smile and left the coffee shop.
