I looked up. Harsh blue colouring met my eyes. But mixing into the blue was a pink, and it made an ombre pattern. I saw grey clouds float and become a pink grey as soon as they crossed the sun. Across my vision, the light would flicker in and out from grey to blue. Slowly, the clouds would swim in this ocean of blue called Sky. However, as the bright ball of fire started to sink, the colours became warped and strange. Instead of blues and pinks, it changed to navy and purples.
My eyes looked down towards another ocean of blue, but darker and dull. I could hear the quiet lapping of water against land. I slowly knelt down and gently touched the water, only to feel a cold and numbing sensation cover my skin. I pulled my hand out and straightend up. Looking again at the dull water, I felt my breathing calm and become in-sync with the slow moving lake. It brought me back to another time- a past day. I started to daydream and remember.
I went swimming at the lake when it was too hot. I was with 'friends' and I sat by myself. One of them came up to me and started saying cruel things about me. I didn't feel like saying go away to them. Eventually they left and I just stayed there. I looked at the water and started to walk towards it. I took my coat and shoes off, and just dived. I felt the cold surround me and comfort the numb empty thing I call a body. Everything was dark.
I opened my eyes and saw my reflection. It looked tired and pale. I felt sad and empty. These days all I feel is sad and empty. The people around me look happy and joyful, as though they have nothing to worry about. I have plenty to worry about but nothing to care about. The world hates me as though I committed the most atrocious crime. I didn't care that much anymore.
I looked towards the lake again. Walking forwards, I felt ready. My shoes and coat came off. More steps forward. I glanced down at my pitiful reflection and took a deep breath. When I dived in, the comforting cold, numb feeling came over me again. The floor was deep beneath me. Darkness started covering my vision and I couldn't breath anymore. I floated down into the lake, cold water protecting my empty shell.
