It was a regular day in Tokyo, on patrol. I really didn't do much but patrol, since the villain rate has decreased so greatly, and all because of the new top 3 heroes. Deku, Shoto, and Ground Zero. My old highschool friends. I managed to get to the 9th ranking, surprisingly. I've improved a lot though, in combat. Since Bakugou's agreed to train with me, and help me improve. After two years of begging him, of course.
Me and Deku still hang out sometimes, but he's so busy being the number one hero... He hardly has any time. Bakugou too, ever since he got himself bumped up all the way to 2nd, from 5th place a year ago. Not like me and Bakugou hung out ever, he just ran out of time to train with me, so we only train maybe once every couple of weeks. I missed having friends but... People grow up and... Go away. I guess I was just the only one who didn't, the one who got stuck.

I felt the cold winter air blow against my face, and watched as the faint cloud of my breath faded into the snowy atmosphere. Christmas was in about 3 weeks, and... I had no one to spend it with. I couldn't go home, cause my parents went abroad for their construction company ever since it began to grow again. I told them I'd be okay on my own, and that I had friends to spend the good old holidays with. But the truth was, I would spend it alone, by my fireplace humming Christmas carols to myself and eating pumpkin pie with a tower of whipped cream. At least, thats what I envisioned.
It was getting a bit past 5, and the sun was setting, but the blizzard was getting worse as the sky grew darker. I was finally off patrol, and on my way to get a nice, warm hot chocolate before going home. Oh, how I hated this cold weather.
I heard the ringing of the bell above the door once I walked into the café. "Good afternoon ma'am, what can we get for you?" The barista smiled to me as I approached the counter. "Oh umm, a Hot-cocoa with peppermint, and extra whipped cream" I smiled in return. "Mhm! We'll have it to your table in just a moment!" She replied, before disappearing behind an oversized coffee-maker. I let out a sigh as I sat down at a small table for two. It was next to the window, so I could watch the cars go by and disappear into the snow. It was so lonely here... This wasn't the life I expected after graduating hero school but, I can't say I didn't deserve it. "Here you go ma'am" The barista said, knocking me out of my thoughts as she set my drink down. "Ah, thank you" I nodded. I watched as she walked away, and returned my gaze to the window. The snow had gotten worse.
"Uraraka" I heard a very familiar, male voice say softly. I turned my head in the direction in which I heard the voice, to see none other than Shoto Todoroki. "Long time no see" He said softly, with a small, subtle grin. "Oh- Todoroki! It's been so long!" I smiled in return. "Yeah... It has hasn't it. It's nice to see you out here in Tokyo, what brings you here?" He asked, sitting down in the chair across from me. "Well, I was on patrol in the city today." I replied. "Hm. I heard you've earned yourself the title of 9th ranked hero" He smiled, folding his hands. "Yeah! Uh, yeah thanks to Bakugou, he's been helping me train." I responded, taking a sip of my drink. "I never would've thought I'd see you out here" I chuckled. "Yeah, I figured I'd come for coffee since it's such a cold night" The male replied.
Out of anyone, I never thought I'd be seeing him. It's been 5 years, and he still looks the same. But, he seems a bit more relaxed and loose, as if some weight was lifted off of his shoulders. "Yeah... This winter's pretty rough isn't it" I nodded, looking out the window for a few seconds. We talked about our lives for a while, catching up on things, and turns out he's been seeing Yao-momo. I guess she's here in the city as well, and her and Shoto were highschool sweethearts after all. "Well I'm glad we got to catch up, sorry to bother you" Todoroki laughed, sipping his coffee. Just as I was about to say I was officially lonely, he showed up with his red and white hair, and heterochromatic eyes like the hero he is. And, I didn't feel so lonely anymore. "Oh nonono! Don't apologise silly! I'm so grateful you did, in fact, I kinda needed it." I replied, smiling once again. "Ah, well I'd better get going home now, it's late. We should keep in touch alright? I'll call you." He grinned, putting on his grey dress coat, and walking out the door. He was still mysterious, hidden, yet in the open. A part of me wanted to ask him to stay, to keep my lonely self company. But just as he came, he was gone, like the summer.
