CHAPTER 1

Abigail Conners looked at the woman who was making her life a living hell. This woman was lethal. "You understand that I am doing you a favour. You get that the only reason you are here is purely because I agreed to protect you."

"Yes Mrs Savage." Gloria Savage was a dog. Abigail just agreed with her so she could shut up.

"All you have to do is clean and serve. Not that hard. I have given you my home, I am not asking for much in return."

"Yes Mrs Savage." Just leave already.

Abigail was now on the fourth month living at the Savage mansion. It was a horrible place to be, did she have a choice? Hell no she did not. She had no choice.

"You understand that I am doing you a favour... I am allowing you into my home..." For fuck's sake...

"Yes Mrs Savage." Gloria must sense that Abigail was not taking her seriously. She pretended that she was and carried on.

"Good. Now please do your job and nothing more. No snooping, no spying... My boys will all be home by the end of the week. I suggest you learn how to behave." Whatever bitch.

Four months working here and all that Abigail understood was Mrs Savage's family were weird. She had met four out of the five sons. There was Matt... A very good looking man, dark hair, dark eyes... Hard... He looked hard. He never said much when he was around. He only ever came around once every six weeks.

Then there was Trevor, another good looking one, this one was a little on the cheeky side, he didn't care too much for rules. He visited the most of the boys.

Chris... He was a little quieter, he was always busy on his phone or working something out with the father. Again, extremely good looking.

Kyle... A very loud over the top good looking guy. It was funny how none of the boys looked alike. They were all very different. Yet they were all very close in age.

William Savage was the father. A very handsome older man. Not too old, he looked mid-fifties if that. Even Gloria was not that old. She would have to just of turned fifty... Five boys... And all just over thirty... It didn't make sense. They were so close in age...

The only brother that Abigail never met was Lucas. He had yet to make an appearance. Would be interesting to see all the boys under the one roof... It was funny how they never turned up all at once... It was one son at a time. Weird... Most definitely.

Abigail saw to finishing off her tasks. She was a live in house keeper apparently. She was clean and serve. She was to do laundry, she was to dust, wipe down mirrors and make sure the house was spotless.

Pauline was working there too. Gloria didn't seem to mind her. She was a very pretty girl, nice Latina girl with all the confidence in the world. Pauline would hang around with whatever son was around at the time and have drinks with him after her shift was over.

Abigail knew not to do that. She would end up in so much trouble. Gloria didn't like her as it was. Abigail did her best not to get into too much trouble. But she got bored so quickly, she would day dream and literally lose focus. She would be so busy thinking about doing things outside of this god forsaken place.

It was so gloomy. She just didn't want to be here.

Five months ago Abigail was in a situation. She was a key witness to a murder. And thus she was here... She was to be here until the case was taken to court and the murderer put behind bars. Her life was literally at stake.
