A/N: Welcome to the first oneshot! This one takes place whilst Charlie and MC are adults. You'll get to see some Weasley family fluff too. For this particular one, I'm using "Rose" as the MC's name, but feel free to insert your own MC's name into the story.
As a kid, Charlie's friends hated playing word games that posed theoretical questions like "if you were stranded on an island, what three things would you take with you?" because his answers always included something about dragons. There was nothing and no one he loved more than them, besides his family of course. The obsession started at a young age. Before attending Hogwarts, he'd often sneak looks at his favorite books on the creatures between working on school at the Weasley's dining table. At Hogwarts, he paid the most attention in Care for Magical Creatures classes and would spend free periods consulting with Hagrid on the best kinds of dragons. It came to nobody's surprise that Charlie became a dragonologist after graduating. It did, however, surprise his mother whenever he'd come home for holidays alone. She expected her handsome son to arrive with a doting lass hanging on his muscular arms. Bill, the oldest of the Weasley siblings, was married and had two teenagers before any news of his brother's love life reached Mrs. Weasley's ears. It was Christmastime-- a time of wondrous cold, flourishing snow, and hot cocoa to warm the body and soul. Mr. Weasley was just kicking the snow off of his boots at the Burrow's entrance when his wife squealed. Running out from the kitchen with a letter in her flour-coated hands, she embraced him.
"Just look at this, Arthur," she said, shoving the acrid paper five centimeters from his face.
The letter was slightly singed at the top right corner. Unfazed by the smell, he peered down at the messy cursive that painted the page and began to read aloud.
"Dear Mum and Dad," it read. "Things are going well here in Romania. A new litter of Norwegian Ridgebacks has arrived--"
"Skip down to the bottom," Molly anxiously interrupted, wiping her hands against her apron.
"Alright, alright. Let's see here... Ah, yes. Here we go. 'I'll arrive home in time for Christmas Eve, and I'm bringing everyone presents. I'm also bringing a friend of mine if that's alright. Love, Charlie.'"
"He's finally bringing a girl home!" Molly squealed.
"Now hold on a minute, dear. He just said he's bringing a friend. It could be a coworker or someone who needs a place to stay. You know how caring he is."
"Did you ever bring friends home for Christmas when you were young, Arthur?" his wife quizzed.
"Well... on occasion, but--"
"As I recall, the last time you did that was when we were engaged," she said, one eyebrow raised and a smug smile on her lips.
"Yes, that's true, but--"
"My mind's made up," Molly declared. "We're finally going to get to meet Charlie's first girlfriend!"
And back to the kitchen she went where her biscuits were in dire need of some more sugar, leaving Arthur in the entryway in a pair of now dripping boots. A flash of red and brown came bumbling down the stairs.
"Gramps!" came Lily's sweet voice.
"What was that all about?" asked Albus.
Their brother, James, came in just behind them and joined the group-hug.
"Your Uncle Charlie is coming for Christmas," the aging man answered.
"Is that all?" James asked. "We thought Gran had won the lottery."
"Ah, yes. Muggle lotteries are so interesting, don't you think?" Mr. Weasley posed, hanging his large coat on a wooden post that he'd found several years ago whilst studying Muggle furniture. "You know, I've always been intrigued by them. The absolute madness that Muggles come up with astounds me. Who in their right mind would bet their money in the hopes of getting more?"

FanfictionI think we all can agree that Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery has some pretty bland characters, so these oneshots will hopefully spice them up a bit.
