"Give me one fucking reason I shouldn't leave!" I yell, glaring up at Sollux angrily as he stands there crying.
"Hear me out!" He cries, his psiionics bursting in small moments.
"Why should I listen to you?! I saw what you were doing with her Sollux! I saw everything from the time I walked in the damn door, to the time she fucking left!" I yell back at him, going upstairs to pack his things and throw them out the window, "For all I care, you can go live with that rust-blooded slut!"
"You should listen to me because I love you and you love me! It wasn't my fault that she did it!" He followed me, crying.
"Get. Out. I know you're fucking lying to me Captor! I saw her come in! I saw that you were the one taking charge at the time! I only have one question for you though; I never stood a chance, did I..?" I turned and stared at him, tears welling up in my eyes.
"That's the sad part of it Mira- you did once." He said with finality and passed me and went into his room to pack his things.
As he passed me, I smelled a little bit of honey on his breath and started to cry, running downstairs and out of the house toward the edge of town, where Tavros lived. As I was running, I passed many of my friends: Karkat, Gamzee, Dave, John, Jake, and Dirk. I didn't look back to see if they tried to stop me, I just kept running. Passed the train tracks, passed the beach houses where Eridan, Feferi, Cronus, and Meenah lived. As I neared Tavor' house, just outside his yard, I collapsed to my knees, and started crying harder than I've ever cried before. A shadow loomed over me as I sat there and cried. I looked up, seeing Tavros' worried look.
"Mira? Are you okay? What happened?" He asked, leaning down from his wheelchair.
"Sollux... That two timing bastard... Aradia came over at some point while I was at work and I came home to them filling a pail on the couch... Tav... I don't know what to do..." I cried in between my words, feeling the burning hot tears stream down my face.
"Aradia..? And Sol..? She's with Sol now..? I thought I meant something to her... Damn it..." He said, sitting back up and holding back his tears.
"She was with you..? Tavros... I'm so sorry..." I said, standing up and wiping the tears away, giving Tavros a hug.
As Tavros and I hugged, a stampede of footsteps came toward us at full speed, stopping when they got to the gate of the yard. I looked behind me and saw everyone but Sollux there. I caught a glimpse of Aradia and got furious, marching toward her and picking her up by the collar of her shirt.
"You fucking bitch... You hurt Tavros... You hurt me... Get out and don't ever let me see your face again. You can keep that two-timing asshole all you want, because I have something you'll never have." I dropped her on the side of the road, "I'll always have my friends. And you'll have no one to protect you." I growled and walked away, feeling proud of my confrontation with Aradia.
I went back toward the group of friends and we all went into Tavros' house, leaving her behind as she tried to follow behind us. After a surge of questions from everyone, I explained what had happened and they all agreed that I was in the right and what Sollux did was wrong. As I replayed the memory in my mind, I couldn't help but cry again.
"Hey Sis... I know it can be motherfucking hard... But you just gotta roll with whatever life gives you!" Gamzee says, ruffling my hair.
"For once, I have to say that he's right. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade or, more preferably, squeeze the juice in your enemy's eyes!" Karkat says, his voice surprisingly calm and quiet.
"Karkitty is right! We have to do something about this! We have to get revenge on those too!" Nepeta growls angrily.
"What do you suggest we do then..? I already got rid of Aradia... I left Sollux because of what I saw... What else am I supposed to do..?" I sigh, curling up into a ball next to Karkat.
"I know what we could do!" Meulin yells, jumping up from her spot, "We could make him jealous of you! He gets jealous easily, so it shouldn't be a problem." She grins, her tail flicking happily.
"How would we do that? I'm not exactly eager to get into another relationship after all this. What do I do if it happens again?" I say, looking at her.
"Fake date someone! Like, fake that you're dating someone." She says, rubbing her hands evily.
"And who else would want to do that? As far as I know, no one would want to fake date since it doesn't really mean anything to either person." I ask, gesturing to the guys in the room.
It stays silent for a moment as I look around. I look at Eridan, who looks like he wants to say something, but keeps his mouth shut. I then look outside and see that Sollux is out on the front porch. 'Fucking hell... What does he want?' I think to myself as I open the door.
"What do you want? I thought I told you to go away and leave me alone." I say, crossing my arms over my chest.
"I just wanted to apologize for everything. I didn't mean to hurt you and I didn't mean to betray you like that." He said, rubbing his arm nervously.
"Why don't you go away, fuckface? Can't you see that you hurt her enough today?" I heard Karkat yell from the living room.
"Go away Sol. You don't deserve her anymore." Eridan pipes up, standing next to me.
"Eridan, why the fuck do you care? You don't deserve anyone." Sollux said.
"I could tell you the same thing asswipe. You hurt Mira. You don't deserve anyone's love. You deserve to die in a ditch." Eridan says, crossing his arms over his chest.
"That's enough, both of you. Sol, I want all of my things back from the house. Everything that I own. Thanks to Tav, Rufioh, and Summoner, I'll be staying here until I can get my own place. Bring everything by tomorrow or else there will be issues that you really don't want to deal with." I say, giving Sollux a sideways glance.
Sollux nods and I close the door in his face, not caring if he had anything else to say. I look at Eridan and smile lightly before going to sit down next to Rufioh. I sigh and the front door opens again to reveal The Summoner with an armful of groceries. He stares at us all blankly for a moment.
"Rufioh, what did I say about parties?" He said blankly before going to the kitchen to put away his items.
"This isn't a party, Summoner." Karkat says and begins to explain earlier events that lead up to this moment.
"Ah, jesus... I'm so sorry Mira... I should've known that he would've done that to you... I should've given him the talk... I'll kill him if I ever see him again..." Summoner says, turning around and looking at me.
"Nah, you don't have to kill him. That's why we're all here. We want to find a way to get back at him and Aradia." I sigh, shaking my head.
"Well, why don't you all stay here for the night and think about it in the morning? I'll let your parents know. Mira, since you're staying with us for a while, I'll have Rufioh and Tavros get the guest room ready for you." He says, coming out into the living room.
"Really?" I ask.
"Of course! That's what friends are for." Rufioh says, putting his hand on my shoulder as everyone nods.
