"...And the border was released, separating the two sides, for better or for worse." The pages of the book collide with force causing dust particles to fly into the air.

"Sometimes, I wish they were smart enough to not have created the wall 'idea', but, nevertheless, i'm glad they did," Max's comment raised eyebrows but, knowing him, he would drone on for hours with responses to just a few questions. Tahlia shook her head in disappointment, though, the smirk on her face said otherwise.

She looked down to the child she had read the book to, "Time for you to get to bed, remember, no use of your Iglasses (if Apple made glasses that work like a iphone essentially) tomorrow if i have to ask you another time" She gave a stern look to her son causing him to hop off the couch and dash to his room.

"You shouldn't be so harsh on Ben, he's only 5. Not letting him use his Iglasses is like you not being allowed to use your Iphone 25 when you were younger, and from what I've heard, that was severe....even if it was behind in the times" Max peeped around the corner looking at his mother. Tahlia just rolled her eyes and raised from her seat to go get ready for bed herself.

"MAX! Look at what you're doing!" Sam exclaimed, trying to stop the water from dripping on the precious floorboards, but Max was so far in a world of his own that the only thing Sam could do was.... A red, glowing handprint formed on Max's face as he regained mobility in reality.

"What'd you do that for?!" Max questioned with slight anger in his tone while holding his cheek in pain. All Sam gave in response was pinching the bridge of his nose and raising his head after a few seconds with an 'are.you.kidding.me' look. Max cocked his head to the side causing Sam to sigh and point to the water that was dripping on the now damaged floorboards and his foot, caused by someone washing the dishes a bit too vigorously. Max created an 'O' shape with his mouth and his eyes grew large, they soon faded into a guilty look. He turned his gaze to meet Sam's which could pierce anything, it seemed he could even rip a soul in half.

"You may do the dishes, all by yourself. Have fun!" Sam tossed the towel on the bench with a smile and strutted away, glee in his step. Max knew this was what he deserved but a pout still resided on his face.

Max sat on the porch steps attempting to situate his runners on. With much trouble, Max finally adorned his shoes and raised from his seat.

"Hey! Where are you off to?" Max sigh, knowing all too well who spoke.

"Just off for a walk, want to join?" Max turned to face Sam, the floorboards creaking under his feet as he stepped down the small step, nearly missing the next step but regaining his balance underfoot.

"Sure" Sam turned to gather his shoes. Placing them on, with little trouble, to Max's disappointment and walking towards Max.

"Are you okay?" Sam quiried. Slightly confused, Max just looked at him.

"You're looking at my shoes as if they did something stupid..."

"uhhh....i'm good" Max produced a smile that obviously said he was doubting that.

"So....walk?!" Changing the subject.

"mhm.." Sam humed suspiciously.

The gravel created loud noises underneath the boys' feet. The sound of pebbles hitting the ground resinated in their ears as they walked the unknown trail in silence.

They walked through a abandoned building near the centre of the border. As they get to a clearing, they find there are only 3 other ways of exiting the the area. The 3 pathways to the outside world could easily be distinguished. One to their left had vines around the entrance, it gave the look of having a beautiful garden beyond it. To the right of them was a door with stone bricks in the door frame and in front of them was a door, just a simple oak door.

"Why?" Max queried unfolding one of his arms from in front of his chest and held his hand for the palm of it to face the sky, fingertips pointing towards the Oak door, like he was a waiter without a dish.

"What? The door?" Sam raised an eyebrow, slightly confused

"Yeah, it looks so pristine, like it was recently polished" Max placed the comment on the table making Sam realise even more of how out of place it was in an abandoned warehouse. They walked into the centre of the room, looking back at their entrance. It looked normal, just graffiti and chipped walls. Suddenly they heard gravel being displaced by what seemed to be two sets of shoes.
