To Think I Was in Paradise

  To think I was floating around in the air... near the ocean where it is peaceful.

Only to get away from all of your troubles.

  The things that bothered me day and night were all disappearing.

  All the worry.

Gone.

  All the stress.

Gone.

  If only I could wake up and experience the same, but it was only a dream-

Just a dream.

  Those words hit me like a train as I fell into the darkness.

  No more sun or happiness.

It was all...

Gone.

  There was no more light and all I could do was sit in the darkness and cry.

  And there was no one to save me from it.

  The darkness consumed my heart and left me feeling like nothing.

  " Someone please wake me from this nightmare"

   I tried to scream out, but nothing came out but a whimpering cry.

   The darkness clenched into my soul as I tried to open my eyes.

   The black figures walked at first,

  Getting faster and faster.

  I finally shot up screaming like there was no tommorow.

To think I was in Paradise.
