the sweet sound of humming birds was all i could hear as i walked slowly through a field of clouds. its like walking on the moon except soft. i wore a white dress hung right above my knees. my long dirty blonde hair flew through the light breeze as my heart and mind felt at peace, which is rare for me. i held my arms out as i let the breeze touch every part of my soft tan skin. i looked at my hands as i smiled seeing the ring daniel had given me on my little index finger. it represents hope and love.

i closed my eyes for a moment to feel everything around me in this place. in a world of my own. no pain. no sadness. just hopes and dreams.

butterflies flew around me and landed on my arms. ive never seen anything so beautiful. i laughed lightly and slowly laid down on the clouds as i watched the butterflies dancing around in the blue sky.

as soon as i sat up and went to touch one, it disappeared into black dust. it felt sorrowful as more and more butterflies went away and the clouds were turning gray and the sky was now black with very few stars. the peace was gone. just pain and sadness. loneliness filled my heart as my body felt emotional pain. i stood on my feet as the clouds weren't soft anymore. it was gravel like and rough. i looked around and all i could see was a shadow figure. it was huge and shaped like something i haven't ever seen. the only thing i can make from it is it feels scared and lonely. but also impassioned. it didn't like me here. it didn't like me at all. it started to come near me and fast so i did all i could do. run. i ran as fast as my feet could take me. tears were racing from my light gray eyes and falling off my face behind me due to the wind. as i continued to run i heard heavy breathing behind me. it was close. before i could run anymore, it got me. i cried until i didn't feel the shadows surrounding me but the shadow wouldn't let me go, so i continue to cry until a heard a sweet voice that was too familiar.

"hey, petal. everything is alright. you're okay." as the shadow clouded around me i heard daniel sweetly talking to me. "i'm here, baby. wake up." i shut my eyes tightly.

as my eyes opened again, i was in daniel and i's bed. i looked up and saw his crystal blue eyes looking at mine with a worried expression. he had his arms wrapped around my shaking body that made me feel safe. i cried softly, but happy too because it was just a dream. even though it felt so real.

"you're okay, baby. it was just a nightmare." daniel caressed my cheek as we looked at each other as i breathed heavily. he leaned closer to me and kisses my lips softly. "just a nightmare." he repeated.

"just a nightmare."
