KATIES LOG

Finally back from that horrid vacation. I'm so glad to be back in Oregon. Yeah, boring state i guess. But it's better than whatever country place we've been for the last 3 weeks. I cant wait to see Tina.

Katie walked down the empty, quiet white and red halls of her high school, dragging her caramel colored fingers across the lockers as she glided towards her 2nd period science class.

She had been late again, school was just too early for her. She opened the door and all the students turned to look up at her. "Aw man, she's back." One of the kids in the back whined as she made her way to her desk in the middle of the classroom.

Katie looked around the room, tapping her foot gently, looking for her best friend. Tina is never absent. "Hey, Alex, you seen Tina?" She whispered as she tapped on the blonde curly haired boys shoulder. "How would i know, you haven't introduced me to your imaginary friends yet, Katie" He responded with a smirk on his face.

She rolled her eyes figuring he was just joking around again. She turned around in her seat behind her to see a small black haired girl with glasses working on the assignment. "Hey, is Tina at school today?" She whispered and the girl looked up with a confused expression. "who?"

Katie turned back around in her seat, her thoughts racing. What is going on. it's like she doesn't exist or something. She was interrupted in her thoughts as she could hear the bell ringing. She slowly got up and made her way to teachers desk. "Ms. Para, is Tina here today?"

Katie prayed she would answer yes or no, that her classmates were just playing a weird trick on her. "Katie, there's no Tina at this school. What are you talking about?"

Ms. Para looked at Katie waiting for answer, but she just quickly ran out of the classroom and to her locker.

Katie sat on her bed looking through her contacts, to find that Tina wasn't listed anywhere. that's weird. She manually dialed her number since she knew it from memeory. She waited a few seconds of ringing to hear a beep and then nothing.

But a small clicking noise. "Hello? Tina?" Katie called out into the phone, but the only response she got was the clicking, but now at a faster pace than before. "The number you have dialed cannot be reached at this time." The opperated voice was eerily slower talking than usual. She slammed shut her flip style cellphone.
