Nerd Alert (Jaeden x reader)

I admire my nails for a few seconds, pay and then leave to go to the mall. Once I arrive I go straight to Sephora because I need a few things. I grab some false eyelashes, a red lipstick, and a few other makeup items. I also grab some food from Taco Bell (if you don't like Taco Bell you can change it😂) and then head home. By the time I arrive home it's 2pm. I have 4 hours to get ready now. I go straight into the shower, and try to be as quick as possible. Once I'm done I head back into my room, dry my hair and put on some grey sweatpants and a sports bra while I do my hair and makeup. I put on some music and get started on my hair and makeup. By the time I'm done it's 5pm. I have one hour left. I go downstairs and realise no one is home. At least mom isn't here to stop me going to prom. I grab a small snack and then go back to my room to get changed. I grab my dress from my closet and put it on.

By the time I'm done it's almost 6:30pm. I head downstairs and straight away there's a knock at the door. I open it and see Jack. He looks so hot and smart in his suit.

"You look amazing y/n" Jack said trying not to drool.
"Thank you so much, you look so ho- I'm mean smart" I say awkwardly trying not to blush.
"Well we should go then, we can't be late" Jack said smiling hard.
Jack holds his hand out and I place mine into his. Jack leads me out to his car and opens the door for me to get in. Jack gets in and drives us to the venue. We arrive just before 7 and go in to see a white and gold decorated room. It's so beautiful. Jack locks his hand into mine and leads us to a table where his friends are. As we approach he table I see Finn, Wyatt and Jaeden. I can't tell who the girl is sitting next to Jaeden as her back is facing me, but I'm guessing it's Lilia. I sit down in between Finn and jack at the table. We all start talking until a slow song plays. Jack grabs my hand and pulls me up to the dance floor. He holds me close and we start dancing to the slow music. A few minutes go by and I glance behind jack to see Jaeden dancing with someone. I try to see who it is because it's not lilia. This girl has brown hair. I finally see her face and my eyes widen to see it's Mia.

What the fuck! How could Mia do that?

I take me arms of jack and walk over to them. I push her back and start shouting at her.
"How could you do that Mia? You know I like Jaeden" I scream in her face.
"If you really liked him you would've gone to prom with him instead of jack" she responds.
"That's none of your business, but if you must know I couldn't go with Jaeden. It would've been too awkward to go with my crush. But going with my best friend wouldn't be as awkward" I say back on the verge of tears.
I step back and walk out the room into the hallway. I hear someone follow behind me but I take no notice to look at who it is. I stop and stand still until I feel a pair of hands go around my waist and someone hug me from behind. They place their head on my shoulder and hugs me tightly. I turn my head a little and see it's Jaeden. I release from his grip and turn around to hug him tightly.
"So you really like me" Jaeden asks not expecting a response.
"Yes Jaeden, I do, I always have. I couldn't go to prom with you as I would've made everything so awkward" I reply trying not to cry.
"Well let's go back inside and have some fun for the night, we can talk later, so do you want to dance with me in a while" Jaeden asks with a small smile on his face.
"I'd love too" I reply back.
We walk back in and I go talk to jack. I told him that Jaeden asked to dance with me and that it's better if we just stay as friends. After taking for a while another slow song comes on. Jaeden pulls me up to the dance floor and wraps his hands round my waist. I out my hands around Jaeden's neck and we start dancing. I notice we both start leaning in. We get closer and closer until I feel a soft pair of lips on mine. It's almost as if Jaeden's lips fit perfectly with mine. I deepen the kiss a little and then pull away trying not to make things awkward. The song is over and prom soon ends. We all walk out and I say goodbye to everyone. I pull out my phone and try to find the Uber number until Jaeden approaches me.
"Do you wanna come back to my house tonight" Jaeden asks nervously.
"Of course" I respond.
We head back to Jaeden's house and go up to his room. As I walk in I get hit in the face with a strong scent of cologne. Jaeden goes and changes clothes into grey sweatpants (if you know you know😏) and a plain black T-shirt. I sit on his bed and realise I have nothing to wear. Jaeden walks into his closet and grabs a T-shirt and hands it to me. I walk into Jaeden's bathroom, take off my dress and put on Jaeden's shirt. It's so big on me it's like a dress. I fold up my dress and take out my hair, then go back into Jaeden's room. I sit on his bed next to him and cuddle up with him. We watch Netflix until I fall asleep on Jaeden's chest.
