Park Ha-yoon, a small 8 year old girl in such a big world. Her parents were protective of her. Never let her step foot outside, they always came to her. She never wanted this, she was extremely adventurous for her age. She always wanted to roll in the fresh, cut grass. She always wanted to smell the roses in her mothers garden. She wanted to breathe the fresh air of the day. She wasn't allowed to, she knew better to sneak out. Ha-yoon was afraid she would upset her parents. She never wanted to upset them, she loved them. Ha-yoon was a girl who wanted trouble but never wanted anyone to be upset at her.
By the time around her 9th birthday, Ha-yoon got the surprise she wanted her whole life. Going outside. Her parents let her go to the neighboring park, which their super vision of course. She didn't care though, as long as she was allowed outside. She had her old clothes on so she could get them dirty without freaking out her parents. She rolled in the grass. She played in the mud. She played on the tiny playground, she ran around the whole park. She could never wish for anything more. Ha-yoon finally got her wish, living. Her parents yelled her name to go and her lunch. They brought a picnic for her, with her favorite, PB and J. She ate the 2 sandwiches in joy. After eating, back to the playground she went.
She was running as fast as her little legs could take her, until she bumped into someone. They both fell down, hard. Her parents ran to her, freaking out. She was bleeding on her knee but she couldn't care less. She was more worried about the person she bumped into. Ha-yoon pushed her parents aside, looking at the person, or should I say, boy.
"I'm sorry," she said apologetically.
"It's okay! It's just a little scratch," the boy said, trying to cheer up Ha-yoon which made her smile. Her parents watched her, both with proud looks.
"Here, let me help you up," she said with a smile, holding her hand out.
"Thank you," the boy said, taking her hand, blushing.
He rose, standing directly in front of her. He jumped back. Ha-yoon looked at him confused. Her parents went to the boy and put a bandage on his thigh. He said thank you and waved bye. Ha-yoon waved back, smiling. She was glad she met someone other than her teachers and parents. Her parents, grabbing her hand, leading her to the picnic. She looked back to see the boy gone.
They got back to the picnic, packed up, and went home. Ha-yoon looked out her window when they got home. She imagined seeing the boy again. She went to her closet to get more comfortable clothes. Ha-yoon laid on her bed, falling asleep for a quick nap.
