Mokie's backstory (and info on the pocket watch & lepidoptera)

(Edit: Just realized I forgot to mention this was adapted from a Vlinny au into an oc, okay so hopefully me mentioning Dheerse makes more sense now TvT)
Basically he's a moth alien who was exiled from his planet because something went wrong during his metamorphosis and he never formed wings like he was supposed to, so his kind banished him to never return again (even though it wasn't his fault his wings never formed). He's stuck drifting around the galaxy in a spaceship for abit until he eventually crash lands on earth. There, Ringt, the ringleader of a traveling circus, takes him against his will and puts him a cage for his freak show where he's given the title "space freak". Life is hellish and he's treated like an object. People grab at his antennas, throw gum at him, stare, point, and it's not long until he's caked in dirt and soot. He's petrified of Ringt and fears what other hells he might put him through. The only light in the darkness is another freak in the cage next to his, a girl (whose design and name I still need to figure out, in the au she was originally Dheerse) (update: her name is Fauna) that he first befriends then falls in love with. The girl was born in the circus and knows of no other life (update: I decided she wasn't born in the circus, but she was in it since she was very young). He tells her all about outer space, and how he'd love for her to see it... Mokie decides he wants to give her a better life, and feels motivated to do something for the first time in months, overcoming his fear. He makes a plan for both of them to escape, with the intention of them making it back to his ship and fixing it up so they could leave out of Ringt's reach at last. The girl is given hope for the first time in her life. Late one night, Mokie initiates his plan, he picks the lock on their cages, and they sneak out. Once the circus is out of sight, they run and make a break for it. However, Ringt discovers that they had escaped, and gathers up a group to help him hunt them back down. Unfortunately they manage to find Mokie and Fauna. As they continue to run as fast as they can in hopes of losing them, Ringt takes out a gun and shoots at the two of them, rather having them die than escape. Fauna is shot and can't go any further. Mokie holds her in his arms as she dies. She asks him to tell her about the stars and the rings of Saturn. He insists that he doesn't need to tell her but can show her, insisting that she'll live. She begs him to and he does, talking about the beautiful wonders he would show her. As he's talking he was unaware of Ringt and the group approaching him. He's grabbed by the shoulders and is dragged away from her dying body as he screams. He's dragged all the way back to the circus and is thrown into his cage. He's completely distraught. The only light left in his life had been snuffed out. An innocent girl who he loved. Who didn't deserve this awful life. Who he had made so many promises to... it's in that moment that he snaps. Even later that same night he breaks out again. But not to escape. He sneaks around the circus until he comes to Ringt's tent. He enters silently, where Ringt is faced away from the entrance, chuckling to himself as he admires a silver pocket watch. Mokie sees the gun Ringt shot the girl with on an end table next to the entrance. He picks it up and cocks the gun. Ringt finally noticed him and turns, and his eyes widen as he realizes what's happening. Mokie shoots Ringt in the stomach, causing him to fall over. He approached him, then shoots Ringt in head. After this Mokie drops the gun and stares, not yet completely comprehending what he had just done. He then notices the silver pocket watch and kneels down to get a closer look, and picks it up. He's seen Ringt with the watch plenty of times, swinging it in front of people, after which they seem to do what he pleases. The pocket watch originally had a different symbol, but as Mokie holds it the symbol changes before his eyes into a star with moth wings. He only has a moment to be confused before he hears someone approaching the tent. Panicking, he stands up, pocket watch in hand. The person entered and only is shocked for a moment before Mokie finds himself instinctively swinging the watch in front of them, after which their expression goes blank. Mokie doesn't understand what's happening, but remembers how people would listen to whatever Ringt said and he makes a connection. Still panicking, all he tells the person is that they didn't see anything, and that if anyone asked nothing happened in the tent, and to now leave. It worked, and they leave the tent without a word. Mokie hyperventilates as he's overcome with all the different emotions from the night. His love. Shot. The blood. Her death... his only light is dead. Screaming. Remembering it made him want to scream again and forever. Trapped. Gun. Ringt... Ringt is dead. He killed him. This weird watch... he looked at it again and realized he needed a plan. What was he going to do? Should he run? Could he? What if he was caught? Back into the cage he goes. And probably forever the next time. He shook his head frantically at the thought. He stared at the odd watch. Could... this help? That's it! He could use the watch and make everybody at the circus forget him! What... no... why should he stop there? A smile stretched across his face the power of the watch started to take hold. Yes, "Space Freak" would be good as forgotten. But him? Mokie?
Well let's just say that starting tomorrow the circus was going to have a new ringleader.
