She was a young girl at the age of 20 and I was 25. She was busy studying business administration in university while on her fee time she was helping the poor people of her society.
She loved to give back to people that had nothing to live. She would also bake cookies or cakes to give to the people that were homeless and hadn't have anything to eat.
Today was friday. The local volunteering team was holding a common meal for the poor people.
I always was interested in these kind of organisations, I was always giving back to the society even though most people wouldn't take that seriously. You see I was one of the most rich kids of the neighborhood. I was always studying at the best private school of the area. I had it all but little did they know I was always willing to help those who were in need.
We haven't met before even though we were neighbors. I've always kind of looking at her and spy on her when I hadthe time. But the time came when I decided to join the local volunteer organisation. I applied for it and they called the same day. They invited me at this friday's common meal.
I couldn't believe I had actually a chance to meet her. I brought the pies that I baked for today's meal.
"Where could i leave these?" I asked her.
"At the back." She said as she met my eyes immediately realising who I was.
"Oh hi. I've never imagined you being here." She said smiling.
" I know it's not just you." I said and she smiled.
"I'm Deppy nice to meet you." She said extending her hand.
"I'm Jin nice to meet you too." Finally I said to myself.
"Thank you for your offer. Would you like to stay and help me distribute today's meal?' She asked me.
"Sure." I said.
"Thank God because the other lady cancelled it because she was sick." She said as I took my jacket off and pulled my sleeves up.
She showed me around and how to do things.
We had a great time we were talking and laughing. I get why people do this. Why she was doing it.
Her eyes were beaming when she shared the food. I loved te way she was always being happy ad optimistic even though things didn't go as planned.
"Mary didn't I tell you to get ready?" She said.
"I'm sorry mummy daddy was telling me how you two met." Mary replied and she smiled like it was yesterday.
"Go get ready."She said patting her in the butt and Mary giggled.
"That's what I told her to do. She wouldn't listen to me." I said trying to convince her.
"Yeah sure." She mocked me as she sat on my lap and pecked my lips.
"Now go get ready my sister and Marialena are waiting for us at the common meal." She said and smiled.
"Okayyy." I said as I smiled at her and went to get ready.
"Jin?" She said and I immediately.
"Yeah?' "I asked her curious of what she was going to say..
"I love you." She said.
"I love you too." I said as I smiled at her while I put the meals we had prepared in the car.
