Kasie was wandering down the street when she bumped shoulders with a tall man in a black trench coat. She asks "Hey, what's your problem?" No response, she asks yet again, "Hello? What's your problem?" Yet again, no response. She walks away acting as nothing happened. A million thoughts raced throughout her head later that night. 'Was he deaf?' She ceased her thoughts and decided to go and make food. When she got down the steps into her kitchen she thought about the mysterious man yet again. This time it was darker, 'Was he out to get me?' But again, she ceased her thoughts and continued to the cabinet to grab some mac n cheese. She boiled the water and made the cheesy deliciousness. She thought 'we don't deserve such delicious food.' but ate it anyway.

Even later that night, she thought more and more about the tall and mysterious man. She thought, 'what if he knows where I am?' She decided she was just too tired to think about that, and headed to bed. She tossed and turned all night so many thoughts racing through her head. She didn't know what to believe anymore. She chose to believe nothing and decided to try and go back to sleep. She woke up and headed to the small local coffee shop, like every morning and grabbed a glazed doughnut and an iced coffee. She walked back home and towards the end of her journey discovered the tall mysterious man yet again. This time more assertive she asked, "Hello?" The man looks at her and says's "What?" In a deep growl. Kasie nearly choked in fright a chill ran up her spine and to the back of her head. "I-I saw you last ni-" she paused, the man had no face. She choked on her words, "Wha-What happened to y-you?" He said "Nothing" She ran when he started standing up and reaching out for her throat.

She skidded on the concrete when she reached her driveway and yanked open the door. The man crept into her thoughts and stayed there for the night. 'Why me?' She questioned herself. She ran to the door not afraid of the consequences anymore and searched for the man. When she looked at the previous spot he was at, he no longer resided there. She knew it was a small town so he couldn't have gone very far especially with the odd limp he had. For hours she looked up and down every back alleyway and rounded every corner until eventually, she saw him. He was slumped over back against a dumpster behind an apartment complex. She shook though, he was unresponsive. She checks for a pulse seeing as he lacked a heartbeat, she found no pulse and decided to bring the man to the hospital.

When she reached the hospital they checked for any medical records of the man, none. She told them that he was not breathing and had no pulse nor heartbeat, but still, they denied him their services due to lack of records. Nobody could figure out who the man was or why he was even in the town in the first place. She tried to do CPR but still, unresponsive. She threw him over her shoulder and took him to a hospital in a different town.

Upon arrival, they yet again denied him their services due to no record or I.D. She tried to persued the doctors to allow him service. But they refused and apologized. Kasie went out into the car and drove back. She took him to an Urgent Care facility, and from there they pronounced him dead. She asked them "Well, what do I do now?" They told her to take him to a mortician that can then tell her what to do after.

On the drive to the funeral home to meet the mortician she gets a call from the doctors. While on the phone with the doctors, they said something unexpected. They had found records of the faceless man, his name was Robert Jayke III. Kasie's jaw dropped when she had heard the astonishing news.
