Chapter 12




"Well? I'm waiting" I say tapping my foot Impatiently.


"Nothing sweetie. So why is Michelle here?" my dad says stepping in front of Jackson.


"Michael," I correct. "Is always here, why is Jackson here?" I ask cocking an eyebrow.


"Um.. I.. need to go." Michael says and kisses my head. "I'll see you tomorrow."



"C'mon guys what's up?" I ask.


"Sweetie why don't you just go up to your room? Maybe take a shower. Then go on to sleep, its almost very late." my dad tries.


"It's 7:30" I say squinting my eyes.

"But it's dark out!" my brother Andrew exclaims.


"Excuses." I mutter going up to my room. I really want to know what they were talking about.



As told I did in fact take a shower and slip into my pjs which actually was shorts and tank top.


"Knock knock I'm coming in." someone says from outside my door.


It was Jackson.


"Hey babe." he says and sits on my bed.


"Don't call me that. We're not together." I say.


"But we could be." his voice cracking .


I sigh rolling my eyes.


"Jackson. How many times do I need to explain this to you? I just want to be friends. I know you're my mate and everything, and I am in fact aware that pretty soon I'm going to fall for you blah blah then happily ever after but can't I just live my life with Michael right now? I don't exactly want to be with you, I mean sure I do crave your touch and kisses, and sometimes I do wish it could be just us but come on. I'm so in love with Michael-"


"I understand you're in Love with Michael but I'm in love with you. I understand everything you're saying but he's human- and I don't think it's right. The moons goddess paired us together because we were made for each other. I can't just lose you to a human boy." he says almost angrily.


"You can't lose what you never had." Is all I say. . . Now he looks pist.


"I shouldn't have to ask you out! We are mates! You and that boy are not meant to be together! It was just supposed to be us! I've waited for you for so long but-"


"But I rejected you." I smirk knowing I hit a nerve .



He lunged for me, me thinking he was going to attack and hit me, I had another thing coming


He kissed my lips. I tried pushing him off but he was too strong gripping my waist almost hurting.


"Be mine." he whispered.


"Never." I whisper back then grab a fist full of his hair and kiss him back with just as much lust.

I had finally been back at school, I had actually missed doing work.


"Hey Jazlyn ! Wait up!" I had heard Michael say running up to me.


I stopped at my locker as planned and smiled warmly at him pecking his cheek.


"Hey Michael. What's up."


"I wanna take you out on a date tonight." he says and i shrug.


"Like a fun date or a real romantic date?" I ask.


"Both." he says and thinking about it for a while.


I had been shocked. We hadn't been on a date that was fun and romantic at the same time.


"Okay what are we gonna do?" I ask.


"That's for me to know and you to find out." he smirks. I gasped playfully glaring at him.


We've been on millions of dates and he has always told me where we were going.


"Can you pleasssse just tell me?" I say moving closer to him.


He gulps looking down at me. I give him my puppy face and sticking out my lip.


"No." he says not looking at me.


I take his face In my hands and kiss his lips softly, "Please." I pout my lip.


"Ugh, I made reservations at a nice restaurant a couple miles out of town and then we were gonna go to laser tag on the pier followed by night swimming at the beach like we always do." he sighs.


"Awe I love you." I say and kiss his lips.


"Yeah yeah love you too." he says and I glare at him for his tone.


"I was joking. I love you more." he laughs kissing me.



"Wait.. how am I supposed to wear something formal yet comfortable to go play laser tag?" I ask confused.


"You won't. Which is why we're gonna change and that's what's gonna make it fun." he smirks, kissing me one last time then leaving winking as he passes me.


I then go to my class smiling like an idiot.
