"And wipe that makeup off your face, you aren't a woman, are you?" Stranger spoke cruelly to his son. "N-No, sir" Jeremy replied softly, looking up at the older cat. Jeremy turned away from his father, walking down the long hallway to the bathroom. Jeremy stood in front of the door, he looked down at his hands, staring at the black substance covering his nails. He slowly extended his hand out to the handle of the old dark oak door. He pushed down on the golden handle, causing the door to crack open slightly. Jeremy took a step forward pushing the door and walked in. Once in he pushed the door closed behind him. Jeremy turned towards the mirror, walking closer to it, putting his hands on the bench. He looked at himself in the mirror, remembering what his father said. Water began to appear in the corners of his eyes. Tears ran down his face. The mascara stained his white fluffy cheeks. 'I look nothing like myself... I'm someone I don't know, a stranger...' Jeremy thought to himself. Soon he wiped his tears away and reached his hand out to the top draw beside him. He pulled it open and grabbed out the makeup remover and cotton balls. Once all the makeup was gone, he throw the cotton balls away. Jeremy looked at himself in the mirror, his eyes were still watery. Jeremy's expression changed to anger, in a matter of seconds. He went through every drawer, throwing away every last bit of makeup. He stormed off back to his room and throw of his black and purple magicians costume. Changing back into his white T-shirt, black pants with braces and black shoes. Jeremy pulled out his pig tails and replaced it with a ponytail, being held by a black bow-tie. Jeremy grabbed his magicians suit, hat & wand and throw it away. He grabbed another black bow-tie sitting on his desk and walked back to the bathroom. Jeremy turned toward the mirror once again and neatly tied the bow around his neck. He looked at the mirror, realizing what he'd become, how he submitted to his father's orders. How he destroyed his dreams once again. Jeremy looked at himself in the mirror. His expression was nothing but a dead blank stare. 'I can't recognize myself... Who are you again? Do I know you? Have I met you before? I don't think so.... Who is he?! A stranger, perhaps...'
For the whole night Jeremy laid awake, staring at the ceiling, thinking. What's gonna happen next? Continue the family business? NO! Jeremy didn't want to follow in his father's footsteps, he wanted to follow his own. That night he planned to plot against him. No more lectures. No more orders. No more good behaviour.
He wasn't going to be that perfect son, he forced him to be. Not anymore.
