I stood there glaring at the white animal. The snow was glistening from the moonlight as I stood in a battle stance, all eyes on the creature. The wind was pushing some snow off the ground into the frost-covered lake. All I could think about was the cold, and the animal, of course. The moon was shining brightly tonight, and the only sound there was was the rattling of my body. It was so cold here that no animal would show itself to the surface.

I crept down in the snow whilst studying the animal. It was a white bunny, about the size of a small, miniature dog. I curled in the snow for a few more minutes, trying to keep out of sight. I haven't eaten for 2 days.
I crept towards the bunny, one step at a time. It stood there, only chewing on what looked like a few pieces of grass. It must be the last bits of food, I said under my breath. I can't take it anymore. I thrusted myself towards the bunny and caught it between my teeth. It squirmed for a bit, then it lay still. It would have happened whatsoever. Another wolf would have come up and eaten it anyway.
I stood up after eating it for a few minutes. I wasn't full, but I didn't have the energy to find food. The wind seemed as if it was getting colder and colder. I have to go back.
I started running through the cold air, heading home. Chills ran down my spine. I ran past the tree that I used to play around with my family. I miss my family. They were the only ones who understood me. I used to live with them in a pack until the Queen rejected me. It happened all in one night when I was with my sister, playing outside. We ran across the lake, submerging ourselves in the water. Soon all the laughing and giggling faded.
All I remember was being taken by an older wolf, but I didn't see his face. I knew they were older than me because of their weight. They attacked me and my sister ran for help. When she came back, my white fur coat was stained with blood and scratches. He was gone. The attacker had black fur, but that was all I could remember. He has clamped down on my neck, scarred my eyes, and broken one of my front legs.
The Queen did not care, however. She figured I was not right for battling, and to be put to shame. She slashed my face and told me to leave the pack or I was dead. She did not want another pack member to die to enemies, not again.
That was 2 years ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. I wanted to turn around and claw the Queen's face when I saw my sister look at me while I was pushed away. She wanted to help so bad, but if she did, we would both die. No one messed with the Queen. Not even her daughters.
     One of her daughters had
challenged her throne when they were only 7 years old. She had almost won it, until the Queen striked back and broke her neck. She had murdered her daughter that day, and she had no emotion whatsoever.
I finally ran back to my home. It was a tiny cave with a log on top of it and leaves decorating the sides. I placed tiny logs on the floor to keep me from being cold. I stepped in and moved the leaves overlapping the entrance. I wish I had fought better that day, I missed my pack so much. I miss Scarlet (my best friend), River, and Astro. My bed, my family, my friends, everything was lost that day.
I stepped into the cave and froze immediately. There were two eyes waiting for me.
