"Dad! Mum!" I screamed.

I ran down the corridor and I ran into both of there open arms into a group hug, kisses rained down on my head and sobs escaped me. Happy placed down the knife and sighed in relief but I noticed my dad's grip slackened, I pulled away from him and saw worry etched into his face and he was communicating to Happy with looks.

"What is it, Dad? What's wrong?" I asked fearfully.

"It's nothing sweetie," Mum tried to say.

"Where's Peter?" I asked once I realized he wasn't in the room.

Worry bubbled in my stomach and fear gripped my chest. Guilt flooded my Dad's face and Happy looked grim, Mum had tears in her eyes and I knew something bad had happened.

"What happened to him?" I choked out.

"You might want to sit down for this sweetie," Mum whispered.

We all sat down around the kitchen bench and Dad placed his Iron Man helmet on the bench, it was broken and blackened but I didn't pay attention to that. A projection appeared on the screen and the building was on fire, Dad was trying to break down the door but his suit wasn't doing much help. Smoke filled the room and there was a massive hole in the middle of their massive cell and flames covered the whole place.

There was a massive crash and then some swearing and angry shouts from other people, Peter ran past but skidded to a stop when he came to the cell. He still had his mask on and his suit was blackened in some places and blood-soaked in others, I didn't know if it was his or someone else's. He tried to break the bars but they were made of out vibranium, he swore and pulled it harder. The yelling was getting louder and Mum looked panicked.

"You need to get out of here now Peter, you can't stay here," Dad said urgently.

Peter looked at the small gap from where he managed to bend a vibranium bar a little bit, he squeezed into the cell and fell onto the floor almost falling down the massive hole in the middle that led all the way down to the firey bottom floor several stories below.

"Peter you need to leave!" Dad shouted.

Peter ignored him and grabbed the boot part of Dad's suit and started fiddling with the wires, it sparked and Peter drew his hand away but he did the same to the other shoe. He pushed Mum into Dad's arms just as some people in black suits burst into the hallway with guns, Peter kicked the boot and Dad and Mum shot into the air.

"Peter!" Mum and Dad screamed.

Peter jumped up and scaled up a pole, Dad reached out a hand and Peter jumped, Peter's hand just brushed Dad's but a gunshot went off. Peter grabbed his side where blood was blossoming and fell towards the burning building...

"I'm so sorry Morgan," Dad whispered.

I hugged him with a few tears streaming down my face. That night it was silent and we all just sat in the living room after Dad and Mum got cleaned up, we didn't know what to do or say. Usually, the silence would be filled by Peter's chatter whether he was here in person or if I was face timing him when he's in college. I should've forced him to stay here and not to leave. Dad was a mess, he's already lost Peter for 5 years when Thanos snapped and then Peter thought he lost Dad for another year and they've only spent 2 more years together after that happened. After Peter was turned to dust Dad mourned for Peter for five years which was longer than he knew him. I looked up at the photo above the sink of Dad and Peter when they did the 'internship' they both looked happier than I've ever seen them...

2 months later

It was late at night and I was in my room when I heard Happy answer the door and a familiar voice rang out through the house followed by some swearing from the voice. I ran down the stairs and out into the main area, I looked at the door and Peter was standing there just like he did when he came back from a mission or from college. He was right there and he came back, like always.

"Peter!" I screamed.

I ran forward and tackled him in a massive hug to make sure he was real, he hugged me back and sobs of relief flowed through me. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and then my parent's voices saying Peter's name. I pulled away from Peter and Mum hugged him and kissed his head while whispering thank you to any God's that were out there.

Mum finally pulled away from him and Tony looked over Peter to make sure he was real and that he was okay. He placed a hand on Peter's face and I saw tears welling up in his eyes, he pulled Peter in for a hug and I don't think I've ever seen that much emotion on my dad's face before.

"You're just reaching for the door, aren't you?" Peter asked.

Everyone lightly chuckled and Dad smiled and shook his head.

"No, we're there now kid, we're definitely there now,"
