Invader Zim 》Not Just a Defect 《

Ch.43

Zim growled in anger and activated his mechanical spider legs, using them to back away from the ex-Tallest. 

“Very well, ‘Almighty Ex-Tallest Red’. I accept your request for a fight to the death” said Zim, pointing an accusing finger at the ex-Tallest. 

Red growled when Zim used sarcasm and air quotes when he called him by that title. 

“Well I didn;t say it was to the death, but that works too” said Red, activating his laser and shooting them at Zim. 

Zims eyes and the spots on his PAK turned blue before dodging the attack quickly and swiftly. 

His program had been activated and was taking control. 

Red attempted to shoot Zim, continuing on using lasers, but the short Irken continued to dodge each laser, slowly making his way towards the ex-Tallest.

Zim then stopped dowding and pounced forward, using one of his mechanical spider legs to slash at Red. 

Red tried to jump back so he could avoid the attack, but gasped in pain as the mechanical spider leg sliced his cheek, causing it to bleed. 

Red clutched his bleeding cheek and growled angrily, deciding to try the same. 

Unfortunately, Zim managed to jump away from the ex-Tallest, using his quick speed and reflexes to run around the tall Irken in quick flashes and blurs, confusing the red clad ex-Tallest. 

Red tried to keep his eyes on the short Irken, but couldn’t keep up with the quick blurs. 

Looking around, he saw that the blurs had disappeared, indicating that Zim was using his confusion and paranoia against him. 

Red saw what Zim had done when the black haired boy tried to fight him. 

He knew what was coming next, he just didn't know which direction Zim would be coming from, considering they were out in the open with nowhere to hide. 

Red heard the faint sound of mechanical spider legs coming towards him from behind, but he also heard them coming from off to his right. 

Now he was really confused. 

How was Zim so fast! 

It was impossible to be moving towards him from two directions at the same time! 

Hearing the sound coming from behind him drawing closer than the one from the side, he turned and gasped in shock, barely able to register the fact that TAK had attacked him, ramming into the ex-Tallest with all her might. 

Red was knocked back, but managed to keep his balance on his mechanical spider legs as he shook his head. 

He glared at the female Irken, seeing that she had activated her mechanical spider legs as well. 

Red internally yelled at himself for forgetting this. 

He then felt something sharp stab into his PAK, barely missing his power and memory cells.

He screamed in pain as his mechanical spider legs gave out, causing him to fall on his side.  

I looked up and saw Zim standing behind him, one of his mechanical spider legs having impaled his PAK. 

He tried getting back up, but his mechanical spider legs wouldn;t respond. 

Zim must have stabbed the mechanical spiderleg power cell, causing them to malfunction. 

Tak had been a distraction just so Zim could stab the ex-Tallests PAK! But if he turned to see Zim coming at him, he would have still gotten stabbed anyway because Tak had been coming at him as well. 

Red growled in anger as he stood up having the broken mechanical spider legs retract back into his PAK where they would be repaired. 

He just hopes the repair battery is still working, since it was near the spider leg power cell as well. 

“That’s cheating…” huffed Red, trying to catch his breath. 

“Actually, it's not. You said this fight was for Irkens who had mechanical spider legs, so I decided to jump in and help” said Tak, smirking. 

Red growled. 

His plan had been foiled! 

Red activated his PAK laser, about to shoot at the two Irkens in front of him, but felt a searing pain hitting his PAk, causing it to short-circuit. 

Red screamed in pain, falling to his knees from the electrical shock that was rendering him paralysed. 

Her heard everyone gasping in shock. 

He was barely able to lift his head, but he managed to anyway. 

He gasped at what he saw. 

Standing near the now dead giant space worm was none other than the small grey Vortian. 

“Lard Nar!” said everyone, happy to see the Vortian still alive. He was till covered with a thin layer of saliva after being swallowed by the giant worm. 

"Thats right! I'm still alive! And so are these two!" said Lard Nar, smiling proudly.

But standing beside him on either side was what shocked everyone the most. 

Former Tallest Miyuki and Spork were still alive! 

This confused everyone. 

They had witnessed the former Tallest getting eaten by the thing. 

How were they still alive after so long! 

And they looked slightly different too. They were both wearing their Tallest uniform though, if not a little dirty and ripped up.

Former Tallest Miyuki had a thick patch of white and grey fur around her neck, her antenna looking more like a moths. One of her eyes was a moth eye, but the other remained the same. She also had two moth legs under her arms, both having pearly white sharp claws. She also had some crystal patterns swirling around her head and eyes in beautiful battersm. 

Former Tallest Spork had a smaller patch of fur around his neck, being  black and white like a bees. His also had two beed-like legs under his arms, similar to Miyuki’s, only the claws where black instead of pearly white. His antennae were also a bit different, looking more like a bumblebees antennae.  

Former Tallest Miyuki had two lasers coming out of her PAK, glaring at the red clad ex-Tallest with hatred. 

“We get swallowed by a giant space worm and come back to find THIS!? A Tallest being sent to prison for endangering his entire planet and lying about the death of his comrade!? And that said Tallest tries to kill my prototype!?” yelled Miyuki angrily. 

The two laser retracted back into her PAK, a pair of moth wings coming out. They were large and furry, mainly white with some dark grey and light blue patterns.

She flapped her wings and flew over to the red clad ex-Tallest, glaring down at him as she landed in front of him. 

“You had the responsibilities to protect your planet and expand the empire. You imprisoned my fellow Vortians and forced them to make military weapons. THIS is not how I wanted Irken and Vortians to live. YOU are a disgrace to the empire” said Miyuki, grabbing the ex-Tallest around his neck, choking him. 

Red struggled to breath, but managed to nod in understanding. 

“Good” said Miyuki, letting go and pushing him aside. 

She then looked over at the small Irken nearby. 

Recognizing her prototype, she smiled, happy to see that he hadn’t been deactivated. 

“My Little Star. I’m so glad to see you’re still alive. I thought for sure they would have deactivated you after your creation swallowed me. I knew Tallest Spork would never do something like that, not after finding out you were my prototype” said Miyuki, slowly walking over to Zim and kneeling down, examining how much her prototype had grown. 

“Almighty Tallest Miyuki…!” said Zim, shocked. 

Miyuki nodded. 

“Yes My Little Star. It is me” she said, smiling.
