Tommy stands there looking straight ahead as he feels the cold barrel of the gun pressed against the back of his head, "so, Mr Shelby. I think we need to have a chat dont you?" You say standing strong behind him "let's chat" he says bluntly but before you can do anything the door slams open "What do you think you're both doing!" Shouts Aunt Poll as she rushes towards you both and snatches the gun out of your hand. "You children shouldn't be playing with these things" she demands as she slams the gun in a draw and locks the draw with a key. You vanish quickly without a sound before she turns around. "Where? Where has she gone?" Polly asks Tommy shocked "I dont know, but she wont be away for to long. She can't resist us" He says smiling half a smile, he winced in pain as Polly smacks him round the back of the head "oi what was that for?" He asks rubbing the back of his head "guns" she states and walks out the house, Tommy grunts still rubbing his head.
You see Tommy and you have been friends since you could walk, you both looked after each other and get into trouble but it would always lead into Aurther bailing you out before Aunt Poll found out, you two were known well by the people or Birmingham. Anywhere, where Tommy was, you was there also and vice versa. But if no one cod find Tommy or you all they had to do was ask and either of you would be back in less than five minutes as you both knew all the hiding places in Birmingham. Everyone always said when you're older you two would get married and have kids but he's you're best friend surely that couldn't happen could it??
You walked towards the docks and walked along the edge near the boats, "dont fall, you can't swim" you hear from behind you, you turn around and see Tommy walking towards you while kicking a rock. "Be better than living here wouldn't it? Living in a place that's got no hope for no one" you say looking back out watching the boats load up their goods. "True, why dont we make something for our selves one day? The both of us" he says standing next to you looking out, "like what? Open a whore house" you chuckle "no, let's build an empire, just you and me" he says seriously, you dont say anything just nod while looking ahead.
