"Why me?" I asked as I woke up in the bed. The doctor walked over to me and sat down on the edge. " Well. This had to of happened for a reason." I shifted. " That reason is?" He put his arm on me. " Sometimes we don't know why things happen to us but it happened for a reason. You just haven't found it yet." I looked down to see a tube which is running through the machine to my nose. The doctor took the nubbins out and set them down on the side table. He left the room quietly.
My eyes went to the open window. Slowly I peeled off my blankets and stood up at the window. The fresh air felt good. My lips turned into a smile. That's when I fell. I just fell. My head smacked the ground in a thud. The pain struck me and I couldn't breathe again. Why me? I still wondered.
I retched up to my head to feel 4 staples. I sat up. " Now that wasn't a good idea was it. What happened, Searra?" The red headed nurse asked smiling and searching my eyes. " Not sure." I started. " I stood up and walked over to the window and I just....fell." She nodded. We found you on the floor when the other nurses came to check on you." Your good now." She kissed my head and stood up. " What about my parents?" She turned around. " What about them?" I dangled my pale legs off the bed. " Are....are they worried? Are they still looking for me?" She frowned. " They stopped looking for you a year and a half ago. Your dad disappeared from his home and nobody can find him. Your mom? She.... She's healing." I let out a deep breath and nodded. " Will I ever....you know, she her again?" The nurse hugged me and kissed my head. " Of course." Yes. "Although Olivia's parents are devastated about Olivia." My heart sunk at that name.
I woke to a head ache. I looked around the room and held my head. There was a cup of tea next to me; still hot. Cherry I believed it was. The tea filled my empty stomach. I put the cup down gently and turned on the tv.
There was a loud knock at the door. " Come in!" I yelled at the door. I thought it was the nurse. A women walked in. Have I seen her before? " Mom!" I squealed. Tears stung my eyes as she gave me a breath takingly tight hug. "Searra." Se burst into tears. " Oh honey your head!" She kissed me all over. " it's okay, I fell." Her tears dampened my shirt. " I missed you so much. Your dad- I'm so- Searra I'm sorry." Dad. I forgot. A wail escaped my throat. "Shhhhh. Lets get you home and you can take a shower. " Hugged me for what felt like forever.
As I left the hospital, the nurse took me to the car in a blue wheel chair. I was to weak to walk which was why I fell. Mom helped me into the car. She cried the whole hour home. She asked me so many questions. " Im so sorry. If you didn't go on that plane you wouldn't have- I'm so sorry baby it's all my fault." She hit the steering wheel. " Mom, it's not your fault." She wailed. " Yes it is! If you didn't go on that plane you wouldn't have went through that crap. I'm the worst mom ever." That made me cry. " It's not your fault. It's nobody's fault."
I got wheeled into my room- which I haven't seen in ONE FREAKIN YEAR! I laid down on my plush bed and had a nice cry as I stuffed myself till I puked
with McDonalds fries.
I stripped off my clothes which I've been in forever. There was only enough crop too to cover my chest. And my pants, lets not even talk about those. I had so many snarls in my hair mom had to shave my head bald. I stepped in the shower and soaked up as much water as I could scrubbing my body for thirty five minutes. I used up almost a whole bottle of soap! I looked at myself in the mirror and saw the staples. I looked so different than I did a year ago and my nails were filled with year long muck and at least two inches long.
I changed into my yellow tank and my black sweats which were to short. My waist was so skinny I looked disgusting. My legs and arms have absolutely no meat. My brown locks filled to garbage can.
I finally met up with all of my friends and even my boyfriend! Well, my old boyfriend.
"Searra!!" I recognized that voice. Foot steps ran into my room and tackled me into a huge hug on my bed. "Anna." I laughed. I sat up and she looked me in the eyes as a single tear slid down her cheek. "I missed you." She squeezed me again. "I missed you too."
