"Mom, why do we have to be here?"

"It will be nice for a change of pace don't you think so dear? Besides, it's not like we can just turn around and go back. You, like me and your father, will just have to make do."

Marie groaned softly feeling her anxiety rising more and more. She knew better than to argue with her mom, Cindy Lewis, as she can be quite hard headed. 'She's right anyways.' Marie thought grumpily.

The rest of the ride was quiet while Cindy was looking at the GPS and informing her husband, Greg Lewis, of where to turn. Greg sees his daughter in the corner of his eye turning towards the window with a bit of a sad look on her face and frowned at this. She is his little girl and during her childhood, they were the best of friends. Recently, Marie has been quite distant. Even though Cindy tries to reassure him by saying she is just being a teenager and that it's normal, he thinks, no, KNOWS it is something else. "Are you o-"

"Here we are!" exclaimed Cindy, who smiles brightly looking up at their new house. Greg glanced at his wife with a small hint of annoyance. Being interrupted is a bit of a pet peeve of his.

Marie finally looked up at the house and hope as well as a bit of curiosity gleamed in her forest green eyes.
