Joyce's POV: It's been 3 weeks since I found out I was pregnant. I need to tell Hop but, I don't know how, he's leaving next week, I need to tell him, today.
Hopper's POV: I've been dreaming of this day since High School. I just need to put it into motion. "Hey Joyce? Can you come here for a second?" I asked digging into my pocket "Yeah, I'm coming!" She said coming out of her room
I look at her in the eyes with a smile "Joyce. I know I'm leaving next week, so, I wanted to make sure you knew that I will come back, not just because I said I will, but because of this," I nervously went down on one knee "Joyce, will you marry me?"
Joyce's POV: I couldn't believe it, he proposed! It was the best thing ever, it meant way more now then it did with Lonnie all those years ago. considering I know he will never hurt me "yes, yes, yes! of course I will Hop!" I smiled the biggest smile ever
he put the ring on my finger and I couldn't be more happy, I was going to get married to the best man ever. "I love you." he said smiling at me "I love you too." I said smiling back "since were here, I want to tell you something. Hop, I'm pregnant." I said looking at him awaiting a answer "Really?" He asked looking at me as a small smile forms on his face "Yeah." I said to him. he did nothing but pick me up and twirl me around "that's amazing Joyce!" He said smiling the cutest smile I've ever seen and kissed me and I kissed him back.

Hopper's POV: I really wish I didn't have to leave Joyce pregnant and alone while I go back into the army. But she promised me she'll be okay and if something does happen, she can handle it. I pull Joyce close to me and hug her and she hugs me back "I'll be back. I promise." "I know you will, just be careful for me." "I will Joyce, I promise." I said reassuringly
Joyce's POV: I watched as Hopper left and automatically felt a sense of sadness blow over my head I hope he'll be okay. I thought watching him get into the car. I put my hand on my stomach and went to my room and sat on the bed. "5:00am" I read on my clock, I knew it was early but I didn't think it was this early, I couldn't go back to sleep though. Then out of nowhere I heard a loud THUMP then the sound of Will's cry.
