Falling Down, Fallen Down

Your P.O.V.

You hike up the mountain with your friend, your long (h/c) hair flowing down your shoulders. Will, your closest friend since you were both about five, walks with you. "Are you sure about this?" Will asks you. "Yep," you reply. "But no one's ever come back alive!" Will said. He didn't want to go on this hike as much as you did. But you both wanted the same thing: to find a new place to live. Salt Lake City was too much for the two of you. The bullies at school, both of your adoptive parents, and everything else. You still had a scar across your arm from when you had been pushed into a window. The glass had broken, and you had fallen through, getting the scar. You had to go to the hospital, and your 'parents' hadn't been happy about it.

You and Will manage to get to the top of Mt. Ebott. A huge hole awaits you, about ten feet wide and ten feet long. Suddenly, your vision goes blurry. As if in a trance, which you probably are, you step towards the hole. "(Y/n)?" Will says. "(Y/n), what are you doing? Why are you going in there?!" You don't respond, only walking towards the hole. Will follows you, trying to get you to respond, or, more importantly, stop you from going to the hole. "(Y/n), talk to me!" He grabs your arm just as you trip over a vine. His touch seems to snap you out of it, and you both scream as you go tumbling down the hole.
