Ch. 1: The new world

"Kai, watch out," Tatsuya shouted, pushing me out of the way, as the Sram's poisonous blade, grazing her skin on her left forearm.

"Are you alright, sis" I asked, running towards her side as her blood trickled down her forearm, dripping upon the grassy surface.

"I'm fine, it's just a scratch. That's all. No big deal." I grasped the blade from the ground and noticed that the weapon had an unusual scent and color to the blade's edges. That's when I realized-

"The blade has been poisoned," I bluntly stated to my twin in our mother tongue.

Almost immediately, I threw the weapon onto the ground as I portaled my way to my sister, pulling out the antidote from my havenbag.

"We need to get somewhere safe," I said, applying the antidote onto the cut.

"I'm fine. It's just a scratch. No big deal," she replied, bandaging the cut.

I tossed her over my shoulder and started to use my portals towards the coast that wasn't far from the isolated island that I've called home since I was a child heading towards adolescence.

"Kai," she whispered into my ear.

"Hm?"

"I love you."

"You too sis. You too," I replied, giving her a warm smile.

Little did I know, that she would use the Dofus to send me to another world. Where dragons have never existed and that they've only existed in legends, myths, and folklore in many cultures. From the corner of my eye, I noticed a familiar blue light glowing from behind as I start to slow down due to a wave of exhaustion starting to wash over my body.

"May the stars align for us to meet again," she whispers, as tears form and fall down her cheeks.

"What do you mean by tha-," I was interrupted when Tatsuya removed her arm from my shoulder and she whispered, "I'm sorry Kai," and leg swept me, causing me to fall into her portal that leads me to the new world. Tears threaten to form and fall as I plunge deeper into the portal.

"Tatsuya. No..." I said, as my eyes grew heavier as I sunk closer and closer to the end of the portal.

"Until the stars align for our reunion."
