Depth [Book Three]

One - Acceptance.

She never called...

The comfort of first class gave her mind opportunity to roam freely. She had just said goodbye to someone who she was deeply in love with but she couldn't lie to herself and ignore the reality of the situation.

She and Erik just didn't seem like they could get it together.

It's when she made the decision to just move on with her life once she lands in New York. She could no longer hope and pray .

Their relationship wasn't toxic, in all honesty...it was just the fact that somehow, something always seemed to stand in their way of truly being happy. Of course she was aware that relationships have up and downs. That the two people in it decide to stay in it but she felt like she just couldn't anymore.

As days went by, Erik spent most of his time, waiting to hear from her but after 3 days, he realized that she probably wasn't going to call, so he called up Nala. At that point all he wanted was to know that she arrived wherever she was going, safely.

When her sister confirmed that Kehzia was infact safe, it sank in that maybe it was time to move on.

Although he knew things were over between them and it wasn't so clear if it'll ever work out, he couldn't lie to himself. He still loved her, deeply.

But sometimes love just isn't enough...
