Not many things ever bothered me in my mortal life. In fact I can honestly say I never cared for another human being until I met him, I can't exactly say he's a human being though. Looking back I probably didn't make the best decisions regarding my own human life, but I couldn't regret it even 250 years later.
Even when I was a human I Could feel no pain. I mean it wasn't like I was broken, maybe I was. I just tried my best not to act like anything was wrong, and nobody cares enough to ask.
That night I can't sleep I have an eerie feeling that somethings watching me I rolled out of bed flipping my sheet over and peered behind the curtain. I never felt fear before this and I looked out the window I saw the deep red eyes blinking at me from the hedge across the yard and swallowed hard before quickly closing the blind. I felt creepy now like I just spied on someone unsuspecting. I blink three times before jumping into my bed and pulling the sheets over my head. Close your eyes and forget it.
I woke up with a headache strangely enough I shot out of bed and ran towards the window only to take a peep out. That dark and eerie feeling was gone but I felt like it wasn't gone forever. Startled by my mother who screamed I ran down the stairs to find my mother being squeezed tightly and spun around in a circle by my father. A small smirk laid across my lips. I must be crazy to be imagining horrible things happening. I turned around back up the stairs but my father stopped me. "Good morning Leah, what are you doing? You don't look ready for school." Shrug my shoulders before telling him "Yeah I heard mom scream so... ah never mind I'm going now." Dorky smile lined my lips and I shrugged my body before running back upstairs. As I enter my bedroom my bed is made. "That's weird..." I stood for a second staring at it. "I must've forgotten my mom screamed." I walked into my personal bathroom and look in the mirror, my brown mousy hair and hazel eyes shining back at me from sunlight just peeping through the bathroom window I quickly turn on the hot water and let it fill up the tub. I never thought of myself as beautiful but I didn't think I was ugly either. I'm just normal at least I thought I was.
Once I finished my bath I walked out the door into my bedroom and noticed my bed wasn't made. "OK I'm clearly losing my mind here." I just shrug my shoulders and quickly throw the bed together before rummaging through my dresser pulling out some bluejeans, a blue T-shirt, and some black converses. I pick up my shoulder bag and run down the stairs running into my mother on the way down. "Oh sorry mom." She just nodded at me and look a little hazy eyed. "Mom are you okay?" She turned to look at me and when I saw her eyes were clouded and almost gray. My father came around behind wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "I think your mothers just a little sleepy, I'll take her to bed." I looked at my dad who had a strange aura about him, different from when I first ran down this morning. I just nodded and ran out the door for school I was not going to be late for Mrs. Frederick's class again.
I thought about what I saw this morning my bed being made and then being unmade minutes later. What I saw outside my window at night when I couldn't sleep. How my dad and mom seemed happy one minute and the next she was hazy and confused. My dad how it seemed he was energized and almost glowing.
I wasn't looking where I was walking to busy thinking about this morning's events. I ran face first into a metal pole that's the last thing I remember about my human life.
