Regina Black, someone who once thought she was the most ordinary girl in the world. She went to an ordinary school, she had what she thought was an ordinary Mum. Ordinary was just the way she liked it. Alright there might have been some odd things that happened. For instance once she was being chased around the school by the schools typical bullies. Big burly boys who think they run the place just because their parents have a lot of money- you know the type. Anyway, once she was being chased by them and next thing she knew they were sat on the roof of the school, how she got up there was a complete mystery to her but still they never came near her again.
And then one day everything changed. It was the beginning of her schools summer holiday, a day that felt completely normal. That was until the post arrived. You ran to get it, as you normally do, when you saw that there was a letter for you. Excitedly you ripped the letter open. Turns out your life wasn't quite as simple as you originally thought. You remember running in to show your Mum and her skin turning deathly pale. That was when she explained to you who you really were. She explained how your father was someone named Sirius Black and how he had completed a heinous crime. She went on to say that she had to smuggle you away to the muggle world in order to keep you safe from the wizarding world, something she apparently regretted from the moment it happened. She explained how everything weird that had happened in her life was her subconsciously using magic.
After that things seemed to go by in a flash. Diagon Alley, buying all of her school supplies, packing, and then suddenly she was at Kings Cross Station getting ready to say bye to her Mum. Going through platform 9 and 3/4 for the first time was definitely something she would never forget, seeing the scarlet train that was the Hogwarts Express surrounded by hundreds of excited children, stressed parents and noisy animals. She remembers hurriedly saying goodbye to her Mother before boarding the train, excitement in the pit of her stomach. That was where her life truly changed for that was the day she met her best friend- Ron Weasley. They'd both been wondering round the train trying to find a compartment but instead ended up finding each other. From that moment on the two had become best friends, a fact which always brought a smile to her face. That was when they both met Harry Potter. Ron had found an empty compartment and pulled her in to it with him after checking you could both sit in the compartment. You remember how the three of you had laughed and talked non-stop for the whole journey, well that was until Hermione Granger had walked in. Someone who you'd originally thought was incredibly annoying but as time passed you grew incredibly fond of the girl.
From that moment you were the happiest you'd been in a long time. You and all of your friends had been sorted in to Gryffindor. You'd met Fred and George, two people who would over time mean more to you then you thought was possible. You'd pulled countless pranks with them, ending up with more detentions in your first year then you could count. First year went by so quickly you could barely remember any of it happening. Obviously the year couldn't end without some drama, which you were most terrified to learn involved your friends and You-Know-Who. Although thankfully that secured your house the House Cup, something which Gryffindor where in desperate need of.
Second year you honestly couldn't remember most of it, thanks to the Basilisk that petrified you. You remember how you and Hermione had managed to crack the code as to what was petrifying all the students and were on your way to find Professor McGonagall to tell her. Thankfully Hermione had been smart enough to think of using mirrors to get around the corridors. One minute you were looking around the corner, the next you were waking up in the Hospital Wing weeks later. When you awoke you were surprised to see both Fred and George sat next to you, Fred holding your hand as he slept in the chair on your right. Remembering their reaction to you waking, which was the furthest thing from calm you could imaging- a lot of laughing and tears were involved, was something that would always make you smile and remember just how lucky you were to have them in your life. The end of second year flew by in a breeze, a breeze of laughter and happiness.
"Regina, Regina, hey you alright" Ron shouts shaking your arm waking you from your daydream.
"Yeah I'm good, just remembering our time at Hogwarts" you smile at him as you lean back in your seat on the Hogwarts Express looking out the window on the way to your third year at Hogwarts.
As you watch the passing scenery you wonder whether you could have a simple life at Hogwarts, then remember that that will be impossible for your third year. Thinking back on that morning you remember reading the Daily Prophet and seeing your fathers wild face plastered all over the front page. Turns out he'd escaped and you knew for a fact that somehow this would definitely involve some drama happening at Hogwarts. Looking around at your friends you smile, I mean is it possible not to be involved in dramatic situations surrounded by these guys, especially Harry who I'm sure bad things things seem to follow
