There has always been a popular myth about a forest that has never been proven to exist.
Where children and teens would be stolen from their oh so comforting life and taken to this forest to never be seen again, what happens to the victims are never truly told but some believe that they are eternally damned to be tortured by what lies deep in this so-called forest.
Well, to be honest, I've never believed the stories of this forest at all, it was just a stupid myth that parents would tell to terrify their kids so they wouldn't do anything stupid. But, all this changed when it happened to me. This is the story when I was taken from my family, my friends, my life.
A myth? No, it's not a myth. It's real I swear to you it's real, don't mock the forest before your taken like I was.
How stupid I was to mock it, that's how it all starts. A simple joke to try to act all tall and mighty won't always work, especially if it's a forest that will keep you trapped forever, please hear what I say. Don't speak badly about the forest, it knows, it will come for you as it came for me. Please if you find this phone, this is Maria Cope! I'm here stuck in this forest! I'm trying to find a way to save us from this forest....before it's too late.....
"Maria......"
"Maria........!"
Maria Cope I better hear creaking from your room this instant! Your going to be late for school!"
My eyes snapped open to the yelling of my mother, the every yell I hear every morning. Dang it....
"Ok ok mom! I'm up, I'm not like you and rose up with the sun!" I yelled out with slight irritation in my words, please stop yelling so early in the morning....
My body slowly arouse from the ever so warm bed that enticed me to just crawl back in.
Why can't I just stay in and not have to go back to that Hell hole I call 'school', my feet swung out of the bed and made contact with the cold floor, my eyes looked around my very small room.
"I'm up, it just takes me a sec!" I yelled out to reassure so she would come stomping her way up.
My ever so slow steps to the door felt like an long mile to my still sleepy body, my rough hands slowly made contact to the knob of my bedroom door before twisting.
The door slowly o swung open with a small creak, my head popped out before looking around, "Thank goodness she isn't here to get me..." I whispered as I thought about the wrath of my mother. I quickly tiptoed to the bathroom down the hall to get ready for the day.
