Song: 月色ホライズン by [ALEXANDROS]
------------------------------------------------------------------------
She walked out of the classroom, "3-B" written in the huge door, a periwinkle haired girl right behind her. The hall was tinted with the pink tones of sunset, the sun hiding fast behind the city landscape. The girl turn around and started walking backwards, making her way through the hall while facing her best friend.
"What's up?" Asked Nejire, her fair skin also reflected the light coming from the outside, deep blue eyes shinning with curiosity.
The other girl closed her teal eyes before running a hand through her ash blonde locks. Her hair was short, it had always been like that, it allowed her to use her quirk without anything getting in the way.
"I'm glad this whole thing is over. Give it fifteen more minutes and I'd have died". She dramatically sighed, Nejire smiling with amusement. It was the end of their monthly tests and they had just finished their last project, some English presentation about their own quirks for professor Yamada.
"Hey, Keiko..." The periwinkle girl said, a mischievous smile playing on her lips, getting as an answer the questioning eyes of her friend. "Wanna do something fun?"
The ash blonde smiled back, Nejire was known for her amazing shenanigans. Everyone could still remember when the girl thought it was a good idea to trick Ectoplasm, the mathematics teacher, into singing karaoke in his office without knowing he was actually being recorded and that he would eventually end up being streamed hundreds of times on social media. Let's just say that Hado was a force that couldn't be underestimated.
"Sure, let's do it!" Keiko replied, clasping her hands together in excitement. Without a moment of hesitation, both made their way to the roof of the building making use of Nejire's quirk to avoid being detected by any teacher. Once there, out of breath and giggling, they got close to the edge looking down at the grounds of the institute.
"Woooo! We're fucking done!" Neijire screamed, throwing her hands up in the air and causing the blonde to bend out laughing. Once she regained her composure, Keiko joined her friend screaming at the void, insulting all those authors they had to study for literature and the math formulas they could remember.
Filled with joy, they didn't notice the two boys standing all the way down, at the entrance of the building, looking up at their display of pure innocent madness.
"Don't you think we should join them, Tamaki?" Said the tall blonde, stretching his broad frame and smiling widely.
The other boy looked at the floor, his long indigo locks falling around his face and exposing his pointy ears. He was also tall but way more slim than his friend. But more than that, he just wasn't the type to run into school and scream in happiness when tests ended. He just wasn't the type to scream at all.
"Come on!". The blonde nudged him softy on the side. "You know you want to! What do you say?"
After some long seconds of kicking the small pebbles on the ground and tugging at the sleeves of his school uniform, Tamaki raised up his head and nodded slowly, without looking at the other guy.
"Yes! I knew it! The Togata senses never fail!", screamed the blond, throwing a punch in the air and proceeding to put that same arm around his friend's shoulders, making sure the dark haired boy wouldn't change his mind and make a run for it in the opposite direction.
They all yelled together from the top of the institute, dancing to some made up chants and clapping to the rythm of songs nobody had ever heard before. Well, let's be honest, not all of them...
While both girls and the blond had fun, Tamaki sat on the roof, his legs hanging off the edge, looking at the other three. It's not that he didn't enjoy being there, but his shy nature prevented him from taking part in most social interactions, even more if they were loud like this one. However, he loved seeing other people have fun in the most childish innocent way, it made his heart quiver, full of love for his friends.
Not much later, when the sun finally went down, the four teenagers made his way down, one by one, being careful not to get caught since they should already be on the dorms the high school provided them. After Neijire and Togata left the rooftop, Keiko crouched next to the dark haired boy, who was looking at the distance, his eyes sparkling with the reflection of the city lights.
"Tamaki, want to stay a little longer or...?". She said, startling the young man in front of her.
"N-no, I'm... l-leaving!" He replied, looking at anything else except the teal eyes that were piercing through his own, making him feeling vulnerable. He knew she didn't meant any harm but she was too blunt and honest, and that scared him off.
As fast as he could, he got up and made his way down the stairs. It was weird but he has to admit he felt almost... guilty? Like leaving the girl alone in the roof, even if she was completely capable of coming down herself, was an ungentlemanly thing to do. But why did he care? He could never have a conversation with her, much less walk together to the dorms, they belonged to different worlds.
Back in the roof, alone, the girl stretched her back... which hurt. A lot. She didn't really knew why she kept doing this 14 years later, it was almost like the feelings she had at 3 years old were stuck in her brain.
"Need help taking that off?"
She smiled, the familiar ring of that masculine voice always had the same effect. A pair of soft hands assisted her, taking the uniform blazer off. Then, softly, those same hands stroked the white feathers on her back, making her sigh with pleasure. It was an innocent touch, one filled with love and admiration.
"Open them", the voice quietly ordered and so she did, extending a beautiful pair of white angel-like wings that stretched for almost 50 inches to each side of her body in a relaxed position. "Why would you keep on trying to hide them...? Something this majestic."
Keiko turned around, facing the man that kept on touching the feathers of her wings. He was as beautiful as her, ash blond hair, fair skin, a natural black liner around the eyes. Unlike her teal orbes, his were of the lightest brown. The man wasn't much taller or broader than her yet his red wings could easily double hers on size. He was a sight to behold and Keiko couldn't help but hug him tight.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Watch the wings- ouch! Careful!", he complained with a soft laugh, hugging her back, his arms around her waist and his enormous red wings surrounding the girls small white ones. "...missed me much?"
Keiko knew he was joking but she did missed him. Everything about him made her feel like home, from his fun remarks to the times he would completely ground her. But most than anything, she loved the way he loved her, unconditionally.
"Welcome back, Keigo", she whispered into the crook of his neck, right where her head rested, feeling his fuzzy wings around her. The number two hero, Hawks, rested his chin on top of her little sister's head. In that moment, she could've sworn red was the warmest color.
