The male's eyes darted between the three entrances before he took in a large shaky breath and whispered out in an annoyed voice. "Fuck it." He marched forward and pushed the doors open, they swung forward smoothly, bearly skeeming the polished marble floor. Walking inside the male felt a small twinkle of anxiety as he found himself in a giant ballroom, tall columns looming over him and supporting the ceiling that was richly painted over with gold and silver. At the very end of the room stood a throne, a ray of carpeted stairs leading to the elegantly sculpted seat making it stand out even amongst all the other furniture in the room. Above the throne loomed three windows, the glass pieced together with different colored parts to create silhouettes of several characters that all bowed their heads humbly towards the middle.
Someone was sitting on the throne.
The blonde man gulped nervously, he couldn't see the person's face, gentle light of the moon only faintly carrasing the person's hair leaving their face and body in deep shadows.
"H-Hello?" The dark-eyed man called out, stepping a little closer to the carpeted stairs trying to see some of the persons features. "Were you the one that ordered this?"
"Ah, yes finally…" the person spoke, their voice was profound and smooth like butter, it echoed across the mostly empty space like a melody making shivers run down the anxious man's spine.
"I have waited long enough."
As they stood up the man's heart seemed to skip a beat. They were so tall. At least seven feet.
The figure walked down the stairs in a few long strides, jumping slightly at the end and landing with ease at the very bottom.
As they moved closer to the blonde the man's eyes widened in surprise and confusion, he looked at their baved in shadows complexion only to realize that their skin was white. Not white as in race but completely paper sheet white, as sheer as the snow it even seemed to glisten slightly in the moonlight.
The figure reached their hand out, grabbing the box the human shuttered at the sight of long sharp nails that dug slightly into the cardboard container. Pulling the box closer to them the figure opened it and inspected the inside in silence for a good few seconds before slightly poking the crust with their fingertip.
"Huh. It's cold…" they merely said with a drop of disappointment.
"W-Well yeah…i-its not easy to deliver it here without it losing its warmth.." The blonde scrambled around for an answer.
They laughed shortly. "You're cute~" The person suddenly stated making the blonde look up at them with widened in shock eyes. "Ahhh…im getting really hungry…" At that moment the figure skeemed their tongue over their teeth, a trickle of sweat running down the blonde's brow as he saw the person's sharp canines twinkle slightly in the light like jewels. "But I don't think it's the time yet..." They muttered before their body jolted a bit as if they remembered something. "Actually…i think it has been a month by now… yeah, last time was about April 2nd." What looked like a smirk suddenly stretched across their pale face.
"Perfect."
"P-Pardon?" The male asked.
The figure placed the cardboard box gently on the floor before taking a small step towards the blonde, their tall figure looming over him and casting a deep dark shadow over his body.
"What a poor soul you are. Working so hard at such an hour." They said with pity before slowly moving their hand up and placing it at the male's cheek, carrasing his warm skin with their ice-cold hands. "Hm. Your complexion is quite tan, that's good, it means you're healthy. I like that~"
The blonde could do nothing but stand there, his gaze was firmly planted on the figure's eyes that at that moment seemed to glisten in a bright red hue. What a terrifying sight. But those words that carrased his ears forced them to stand still.
"Oh don't look so scared." They took a small piece of his hair before twirling it around their index finger. "I'm not going to kill you. I'm not that much of an asshole."
"Than what a-are you going to do…?" The man stuttered out, a thin layer of sweat already coating his forehead.
They leaned down, their lips carrasing the man's neck like a feather making the blonde let out a short gasp of surprise.
"Don't take this too personally human, the food you brought me wouldn't be enough to satisfy my hunger anyway." That saying the figure pierced the male's neck with their sharp teeth. A loud cry escaping the blonde's lips that soon echoed across the ballroom and the entirety of the castle.
A ray of crows that were gathered at the top of the structure all scurried away in different directions upon hearing the scream that tore through the silence like thunder.
They all flew away in fear, despite how many times they heard it before.
It's weird having only like 2 reads again.
