When Time Stops and the Moment Freezes, What do you Do? (IsT. A)

Kaden is not a very active child. She was small for her age, and her head was long, which was accompanied by her short, natural short hair that could almost pass for a tiny afro. Her outfits usually consisted of very shaggy and large jeans held slightly above her waist with an oversized bright neon shirt.

She would spend most of her time in her mind while other kids played and learned in school. So while during recess, a time Kaden dreaded, other kids would play four-square and wall ball, whereas Kaden sat on a bench contemplating life. Often times, she would find it magnificent that she's existing and life worked out in this particular manner, but not this week. This week she has been feeling depressive. She doesn't want to speak to her friend, who accompanies her during some recesses, but he understands when she gets like this she doesn't like talking to people.

As, from what she believed, the recess time was about to be over, everything suddenly went slower. People started yelling.

"Kaden! Ball! Up!"  She took the hint. She looked up and saw a red ball in a pastel blue sky. That was all she saw. The ball with growing in size. Larger. Larger. Then it stopped. In fact, everything stopped. Including her. Not including her thoughts.

"What is going on?" She thought. She tried moving her body again- No dice. "This... is, I guess, weird. Is anyone else experiencing this?" She was trapped in her mind for what seemed like hours, or she questioned if it was minutes or days. All she saw was the red circle and the pastel blue.

Nothing.  Well, at least nothing was moving. She was at the point where even her mind calmed down and stopped thinking so much. Every once in a while, she would have a thought, but it was more likely her mind shut down by this point. That was, at least, until the red in the sky started moving. Not at her- Not growing in size, it was shrinking. It got smaller and smaller until it finally disappeared. All she saw was the blue, which did not even look pastel anymore, more of a sapphire-Esque coloration. Once she noticed this, she checked back in, and she realized that she couldn't feel anything like she could when the ball was in vision.

She used to slightly feel the bench she was in, and the air frozen in place, but now she couldn't. She then wanted to test something. She hasn't even tried moving since the ball left sight- The thought hasn't crossed her mind. Everything was still silent, she couldn't feel anything, and she could only see blue, though. She attempted, however, and with a lot of difficulties, she managed to move her arm into her vision. Afterward, she attempted her head and other basic body parts.

She learned a strategy for this. You have to slowly move the little muscles before building up to the big ones. But in the end, she managed to move every possible limb one could think of except her head. Her head was trapped in place. She didn't want to move around too much, in fear of falling off whatever she was sitting on and breaking off of her head.

After a little bit of sitting there twiddling thumbs, she started hearing what sounded like waves crashing. She tried moving her head again. It didn't budge. She then remembered her strategy and started wiggling her eyes first. They started moving. She could look forward, left and right, and in front of her was an ocean. She then tried moving her head.

She was able to move her whole body now, and she sprang up with excitement, but more-so energy. She took in her surroundings, and it finally settled in that she wasn't where she started from. She was at a beach, where the sand was as white as salt. Under her breath, she said, "Okay, so where am I, do I care?" She doesn't care. In fact,  she liked this random beach she appeared in better than the schoolhouse playground where kids are jerks at.
