In the city of New Orleans a group in black paraded through the streets. A casket leading the way, some walking with solemn expressions, others celebrating the life of Father Kieran. Amidst the people was Hayley Marshall alongside Klaus and Elijah. The werewolf cradling her ever growing bump tenderly, irritation darkening her features.

The girl coughed into her hand, drawing attention from the two brother's. "Are you alright? you look-" Elijah began, a concerned frown adorning his features.

"A hundred months pregnant and pissed off at the world?" The brunette snapped, cutting the Original off. Elijah smirked slightly, not taking his eyes off the people in front of him.

"I was going to say you look lovely," he replied smoothly. Earning an incredulous look from the brunette.

"Do you think I was the target of those bombings?" Hayley inquired, changing the subject to a more serious matter.

"Of course you were the target. Were I to wage a war on the wolves you'd be my first kill. I' d string you up, for all your worshipers to see." Klaus replied with an arrogant smirk. Not once looking towards the mother of his unborn child.

"I believe that was my brother's way of telling you he would like for you to return home to us." Elijah cut in, "perhaps try a different approach Niklaus. With fewer references to murder." The brunette original continued while shooting his brother an amused look.

"As much as I would hate to throw you over my shoulder, dragging you kicking and screaming to the compound. We both know I will, for the sake of my child." The blond threatened with a smile, his face and tone light. But his blue orbs were hard, showcasing his anger towards the woman to his right.

"One bad dream and suddenly you want to be a responsible daddy!" Hayley teased tightly, looking towards the hybrid stubbornly. Klaus looked towards the sky, his lips in a hard line before slinging his arm over her shoulder. Bringing her close to him as they continue to walk down the street.

"Let me put this in perspective. My father lived to torment me, it is not my intention to become him. This cycle of misery ends with my child," Klaus murmured. His eyes trained on the werewolf. Her expression hardened as she pressed her lips into a hard line before turning her head.

"Hm, well you forgot one thing in your attempt to plead your case. She's not your child, she's ours," Hayley pointed out angrily before walking away from the two.

"Very heartfelt, Niklaus," Elijah remarked, his eyes straight ahead.

"I bloody hate funerals," Klaus snapped. His voice heated as he watched the brunette walk towards the bartender.

Hayley walked away from Cami, feeling faint as she continued to cough softly. Her chest constricting painfully, making it hard to breath. The werewolf stumbled to the sidelines, grabbing onto a pole. She coughed violently, gasping for air as blood spilled from her lips. The girl looked to her hand in horror. Still choking on air as she struggled to stay standing.

"Klaus!" A voice shouted, catching the attention of the Originals as Hayley fell to the ground in a heap.

"Hayley!" The blond shouted, rushing towards the girl. Unbeknownst to him the werewolf was somewhere else completely.

The pregnant brunette gasped awake, only to find herself alone. Laying on a table in the compound. Everything felt so cold, as if it was mid winter in the city. The girl sat up slowly, her hand cradling her swollen stomach as she looked around in confusion. Footsteps echoed through the room, before a silhouette of a man appeared in the doorway. Hayley jumped back with a gasp, clutching her belly protectively.
