The girl rubbed the side of her face that took a hefty blow. It was honestly a miracle she didn't have a concussion because that typically timid boy could pack a mighty punch, even without his quirk. It was probably one of the lesser battle exchanges in the Sports Festival to the audience. However, what had occurred in this match shocked and shook some of the classmates to their cores.
Katsuki Bakugo in particular.
The hot-headed hedgehog had long since stormed out from his seat in the stand to angrily pace around and maybe physically assault anyone who gets in his way. Some people in particular came to mind. One that had evidently been lying to him since they've met, and another he wanted to crush on a regular basis.
'How could she... I almost can't even believe it. First that DEKU shows up out of nowhere with a quirk and now THIS?! What is with these losers and lying?!'
He had been so lost in thought that he didn't notice that the match was long since over and the girl plaguing his thoughts was approaching. Katsuki didn't think much before he acted as usual. Especially when he's in one of his temper tantrums. The girl was roughly lifted from the ground by her arms and shoved against the wall of the tunnel even though he knew she must have been fresh out of the infirmary. A sharp exhale escaped her lips from the impact, but this pain seemed minuscule compared the hostile blond's eyes burning into her very soul. If looks could kill, the girl would have been vaporized.
Even with the chantings of the audience bouncing off the walls, there was no trouble hearing this loud mouth in this proximity, but she feared no one would be able to hear her outside of the secluded corridor if she needed to call for help. Katsuki sure talked a lot of violence so maybe he would finally act on it since she had hurt him in a way no one else could. This situation really struck a nerve for Katsuki and she knew it. He was an extraordinarily honest person and she led him and everyone they knew on with an extraordinary lie. She was hoping she'd be able to tell him some day but not so soon.
"You've got some nerve coming to this school and pulling a shitty stunt like THIS! You don't belong here and you definitely don't deserve any sort of spotlight in the sports festival! I bet you think I'm some kind of idiot, RIGHT?!" He spat in her face as he yelled but he didn't care. Her arms were pinned to the wall so there was nothing she could do.
He gave her one last shove against the wall before releasing his grip and letting her slump to the floor before she could even hope to answer. The girl's aching muscles from her previous match couldn't hope to catch her from falling, so she quickly sank to the ground, landing hard on her bottom.
The boy stormed off in a hurry to get away from her. From everything. He didn't want to hear anything she had to say anymore. Not ever again. The light at the end of the tunnel consumed him. He was gone. Probably forever as far as their relationship went.
In the other direction, another familiar face appeared and was making its way towards her. A mismatched set of eyes, yet both shone brightly despite his cold demeanor.
'Oh great, is he coming to chew me out too?' she thought. "Does he even know?"
He offered his hand to help her up. Once she was on her feet, their eyes locked. Shoto wasn't exactly known for showing emotion but the confusions was evident even in his eyes. "Y/n..."
Hey, some random new author here! I may be new to writing but I hope you enjoy this! It's just a quick glimpse into the story for now! I kinda wanted to get this part out there for a while now considering it's the scenario I'm building this whole story around. I've had the whole sports festival event written for a while now.
