The Field Trip

I couldn't believe what was happening. Only I, Peter Stark with my luck, would have a field trip to my own home. Let's rewind a bit, shall we?

Flashback to Monday

"Oh before you guys leave I have one last announcement!", shouts Mr. Warren.

"We have been granted permission to get a tour of the Avengers Compound on Friday!"

As everyone, including my best friend Ned, cheers with glee, I bang my head on my desk repeatedly. "What's wrong Puny Parker?" (I have morals okay?) Flash states after throwing a wad of paper at my head.

"Afraid everyone's gonna find out about your fake internship with Stark?" he says and cackles.

"Oh I can't wait for Friday to prove what a massive liar you are!" he says as the bell rings, signaling for us to go home.

End Flashback

And now it's Thursday night and I'm sitting at the dinner table with my dysfunctional family of heroes. "How was school today, Pete? Learn anything new?" asks Uncle Steve while eating Uncle Bucky's lasagna.

"School was good, and I haven't learned anything new in school since like the 3rd grade." Everyone chuckles at that. Then I catch Aunt Nat's eye and realize she knows something's up.

"You gonna go on that field trip, Peter?" Aunt Nat asks and my eyes widen.

"Haha very funny, I don't have a field trip" I nervously state.

"No, I think you do Pete, the one to here, was it?" Aunt Nat says while smirking. Everyone at the table erupts into laughter.

"Wow that's pretty tough Pete." Wanda says while laughing.

"Ugh just try not to embarrass me please?" I ask.

"No can do, Underoos. I can't wait!" Dad exclaims while practically jumping in his seat.

"Ugh fine, whatever. I'm gonna go on patrol and then go to sleep. Bye guys!" I run to my room before they can reply. Once I finish patrol I immediately collapse on my bed and fall asleep

The Next Day

I wake up to Friday's alarm, signaling me to start getting ready to go to school. After I finish getting ready I head to the exit and find Happy's car and let him drive me to school. As we are one block away from the school I tell Happy to pull over and I walk the rest of the way. As I make it to the school I hand Mr Warren the slip that Aunt Nat stole from me and signed so I couldn't get out of going to the field trip. I get on the bus, put in my ear buds, and drown everything else out.

Ned taps me and I take out my left ear bud. 

"Peter, I think we're here!" he says while shaking with joy and staring at the Compound outside the window. I've been here so many times, I even live here, but I never lose that sense of awe looking at it. Of course my awe moment had to be ruined by a certain bully.

"Ha this is Puny Parker's first time looking at the compound since he isn't an intern!" he says.  It's days like this where I wish MJ wasn't sick. I just ignore him and wait until we get into the lobby.

We arrive into the lobby and are greeted by my favorite intern Emma.

"Hey everyone, welcome to the Avengers Compound!" Emma says while smiling joyfully, but I knew she didn't want to do this.

"My name is Emma Grey, and I'll be your tour guide today. Okay, I'm going to hand out your badges now." Emma says. Emma gathers everyone into a single-file line and I go to the back. Once she sees me, Emma shows a genuine smile and hugs me.
