~Chapter 17~

We get to the high school at sunset, we see another note tapped to the door.

Enter if you dare,
Walkers everywhere,
Don't just stare,
Hurry up and get In there.

"Wow.. Do you think someone from our group wrote it?"
Jace asked and put Zoe down.
"I have no idea."
"They took them.."
I turn to see a beat up Ryan.
"What happened?"
I ask and take a seat next to him.
"We... We... Were attacked..."
"Where is everyone?"
He coughs up blood.
"I... I... Don't know.. Sorry.. Kat."
"It's all good."
"Step away from Ryan."
I chick with blonde hair comes out of nowhere.
"It's cool Sophia.. It's just Kat."
"Holy crap.."
She hugs me, I missed this chick.
"Nice riffle.."
"I have another one."
"Nice.."
"Who's da dude and the children?"
"Zoe, Jace and Kylie.. It's Lola's kid."
"OMG.. Let's me hold him."
I hand her the baby.
"We should move them to a safer place. Sophia, you and I can go in and find the rest."
"Most of the children didn't make it Kat.."
"We still gotta get the rest."
"Ok.. I saw a cabin, it's not far."
"Cool, Jace I'll take Zoe. Can you please help with Ryan."
We pick him up and walk half a mile with him.
"Ok.. Let's go Sophia. Jace can you please stay with them."
"Sure.. Use your radio if you new backup."
"Got it.."
"Kat can I talk to you.. Alone."
Ryan speaks up, I nod and they leave.
"What's up?"
I ask and look into his bright blue eyes.
"I'm sorry.. For everything."
"It's fine I forgive you."
"It's my fault Maxie is dead."
"Can we not talk about him please?"
"Fine stay safe."
He hugs me and I run outside. I hand Jace my gun and my hunting knife to Zoe.
"Keep them safe."
I say to them both, Sophia and I head back to the school.

We climb up and over the brick wall.
"Let's get on the roof, they have windows there."
I say to Sophia, she nods.
We climb up the pipe, my muscles burned. When we got to the top, she handed me a riffle. We find a window and lead over it. I can see Jake and Liam. They were bleeding, Liam was shouting swears at them.
"I'm not gonna tell you where my sister is!"
He yells, my eyes widen.
"Why do you even want her?"
Jake asked.
"She has killed most of our men."
I look at the room, 3 guards.
"Soph.."
"We jump down on the couple of 3."
She says, I get katana out and ready. She gets her knifes out. She holds up her fingers. 3....2....1. We jump down and knock out the 2 guys easy. The other one tried to run, but Soph got him.
"Collect weapons.. I'll get the guys."
She nods and then I get Liam and Jake free.
"Where's everybody else?"
I ask them, I run my finger over of the cuts on his forehead. He's flicks and hold his breath from the pain.
"In one of the art classrooms."
Liam says, I hand him a gun.
"Let's go get 'em."
I say to them both, they lock and load there guns.
