Beginnings Of A Hero

Some people say superheroes are fiction and impossible, well that's what he thought until something impossible happened to him. Before this happened, Henry's life wasn't normal to begin with, he is an only child, he lives with his father, John Austin, and Henry's mother was killed when he was only four years old. Ever since then his father hasn't been the same. He swore to find whoever did this and get justice. So he joined the police force in his hometown, Bridgton. Now Henry won't be alone on this hunt for his mother's murderer. His name is Henry Austin and this is his story of how he became Quicksave, the fastest man alive.

It all started October 2019, Henry Austin had just started ninth grade one month ago at Lake Region High School and he was already a straight "A" student. Henry always would walk home after school. But one day something was wrong, Henry was being followed by two men in suits. When Henry looked back, he saw that one of the men had a syringe in his hand, the man said, "Henry Austin, you're coming with us."

"No thanks, I have to go." Henry said as he started to run the other way.

As Henry was running he glanced back at the men, he noticed that they were gaining on him, so he stopped and threw his backpack at the men, Henry looked around and grabbed a wooden board off the ground. Henry hit the man who had the needle to the ground and kicked the other man back, but that wasn't enough, the men quickly overpowered Henry and pinned him to the ground. As the men were about to inject Henry with the needle, one of the men said, "I'll give it to ya, you are almost as hard to catch as your mom, to bad she had to die, she would have been a prime subject." Henry couldn't react as he slowly passed out.

The next day Henry was in a hospital bed unconscious, his father was in the other room talking with the doctor.

"What do you think it is?" Henry's father asked.

"To be honest, Mr. Austin we just don't know." the doctor answered. "He has flatlined multiple times and everytime we pronounce him dead, he magically comes back to life and we get a heartbeat. It is a miracle he is even alive"

"The machine must have been broken." Henry's father said.

"No it wasn't, we've checked multiple times." the doctor responded.

Suddenly the nurse interrupts their conversation and says, "Doctor he's waking up."

Henry's father rushes through everyone and stands by Henry and says, "Henry are you okay?"

"Ya I'm fine, but what happened, where am I?"

"You're in a hospital, someone found you unconscious in an alley. Do you remember what happened?" Henry's father said.

"All I remember is that I was running from two men in black suits." Henry answered.

The doctor walked over to Henry's father and said, "We will have to run some tests to see if he is okay."

"Screw that, he's coming home right away!" Henry's father demanded.

"Okay but if anything pops up let me know right away." the doctor said.

Later that day Henry was at home laying down trying to remember what happened. Then suddenly it came back to him, everything that happened, even what the man said. He knew that he had to tell his father. When he got up he accidently knocked over a cup that was on his bedside table, he looked back at it but something was wrong. The cup was floating to the ground slowly, like time slowed down, so Henry grabbed it and put the cup back on his table. Henry quickly walked downstairs to his kitchen where his dad was reading. Henry walked over to his father and said, "Take me to the football field at the high school I need to show you something, it's important."
