Chapter 1
"Hello." I turn around to see a random old women, standing there.
Her expression was nothing. Like most of the people in America we don't have emotions. Or at least were not allowed to.
"Hello, what can I get you." I ask, sounding rude because of my plain words. Basically, the kids, go to school, but they are not learning proper manners and language. They are taught to always say hello, not hi, not hey, hello. Also to never add emotion to your words. Instead of real gym class, they take long fighting practices. I even heard they are already starting to teach them how to use and shoot a gun.
I worked at a local fast food place, the job was boring and so was the food, but they pay me well, so I can't complain.
Everything that included creativity, or thought was banished right away. Like store brand names. Now Apple is called electronics store #12.
"I want one Burger." The old lady answered. Even the food tasted like nothing. The food, according to law, has to have no flavor what so ever. All you taste is salt and pepper. Also with the food, no color what so ever.
Now they are also fewer jobs, since creativity no longer exists, the remaining jobs were jobs like, cashiers, office, mining, food searchers, etc.
The most common job, was soldiers, policemen, or farmers.
Rianne Wuz here
I finished up the burger I was currently making. They rulers of this world has given us a set of instructions on how to make a burger. I know right. Lame.
First the white wheat bun. Then, the un-natural black patty. Then, the un-natural white lettuce. Then, the un-natural cheese. Lastly, top it all off, with another white wheat bun. Yum.
I handed the lady the burger as she gives me 5 dollars. This sucks. Is this how I'm going to live like? I hate my life. I thought.
Here in country #56, life cannot be any more boring. Its always the same. You get up. Read the rules. Go to work. Then, in the end, sleep. Now thats not what I call a life.
I looked at my watch. Finally, 7:30. Every store, resturant, etc, they all close at 7:30, according to the rules. I closed the green sign that read open, and turned it around so it read closed. Locking the door, I started to walk towards the bus stop. It was dark and but the street lights lit up the road fine.
I opened the door to the abandoned libary, locking it behind me. I feel a warm gust of light wind as I enter. Someone turned on the heater, but who? Cautious, I slowly made my way through the clean alleys, into the kitchen. I lived in a library, as strange as that sounds, it's deserted, and I made the place quite comfy.
I could see a dim light coming from the kitchen, someone lit it up. Terrified, I grab the gray baseball bat, getting ready to hit who ever dared to break in.
Holding tight on the wooden handle, I jump into the room, swinging the bat at the dark figure. I hear a thump and a familiar voice saying "What the hell?"
"Who are you?!" I asked, quite loudly.
I could hear some shifts, and I backed up.
"I'm your brother, duh." I hear my brothers voice say.
Rolling my eyes I turn on the brighter light. Revealing my stupid twin brother, Leoe.
"How did you get in?" I ask.
He rubbed on the spot I hit which seemed to be his back.
"Uh, the Windows." He answered pointing to the large open window.
"May I ask what your doing in the kitchen, in dim lights?" I questioned.
He motioned towards the stove which had a black and white grilled cheese sandwich.
"I'm cooking." He replied.
"In the dark?" I ask.
"Don't question my ways." He concluded.
Sighing I look at my dumb brother. His black hair was messed up, and his clothes looked like it wasn't washed in days. How am I related to this?
"So what brings you here, oh dear brother." I ask.
Using two forks, he picked up the hot sandwich, turning off the stove, he placed it on a small plate on the table and sat on the rusty dark chair.
"Does there have to be a reason why?" He responded, taking a bite into the crispy bread.
"Uh, the last time I saw you, you were at that coffee shop with a man." I stated.
He paused.
"Really." he said.
That was weird. He said it in a weird way.
"Is he a drug dealer or something?" I asked.
He glared at me hard. What's wrong with him?
"Forget about it." he mumbled standing up rather quickly.
He's really weird now. Probably was a drug dealer....
"Hey! Leo." I said, punching him lightly on the shoulder.
"You can't just break into my house, and..." before I could say anything he interrupted.
"It's a library. Not a house."
"SHUT UP." Getting annoyed, I smacked the sandwich, which was currently half way into his mouth. Most of the bread flew out onto the floor, while some bread remained in his mouth.
"WHY?!" He cried, picking up the bread, that was now crumby, and dirty.
"Get out of my house!" I yelled pushing him towards the door.
"ITS A LIBRA-"
"GEET OUT! NOW!"
