Is it normal to be wary of everything,
To want to hide for no reason.
To flinch at sudden movements.
Well maybe it isn't to some, and those people will think of it as weird and wonder what is wrong with these types of people.
But these people live in the real world. The world where your not living in your high school dream world. But where you welcome the nightmares with trembling arms. These people are the people who have witnessed the crueltys of the world first hand and have been thrown to the ground and smashed to pieces by the demons that they met along the way.
I'm Rayne Foran and let me help you understand.

"Rayne sweety, hurry up before your late". My mother yelled from downstairs.
My parents got a divorce when I was young and ever since I have been passed around like the pendant from Harry Potter, nobody can keep me too long or they'll go mad.
I always wonder what I did to make them so uncomfortable around me, its like they don't know what to say to their own daughter.
I ran down the stairs and grabbed my keys from the counter before heading outside and grabbing my bike to cycle to school.
It is my first day in my new school since I moved to live with my mum permanently.
I take the back roads to avoid socialising and putting myself in a awkward position. The town I am currently in has a bad reputation for druggies and gangs which slipped my mind when dumb old me decided to 'take the back roads'
I hear footsteps behind me and a "hey you", but I didn't wait to see what they wanted and cycled on faster.
After that close call I made it to school safely and parked up my bike.
I put the hood of my green hood over my head, looked at my feet and headed Down the corridor to the main office to get my timetable and other useless shit.
I felt like everyone was staring at me, baring holes in the back of my back as I walked. I kept my head down.

My first three classes were a doss, the teachers were going easy on me since I'm new and I don't even think they said hi to me.
My next class is French which I find to be the most difficult of classes with the state that I am in.
Let's just say this class didn't go as well as I thought it might. I got lost and was about 10 minutes late to class.
Maybe I should just ski-
"hey are you okay, you look a little lost", the last part was said with a smirk from the schools bad boy.
Rhys Adams
I turned from where I was preparing to hit my head against a wall repeatedly.
"uhm ye you wouldn't know where miss tuas French class is would you?",
That's what I would have said if I was able.
But you see there is a little problem...
I'm mute.
