"Apologise" , he whispered , his voice calmer than the night breeze at Atlantic.

Her tear stained face, which was previously fixed on his leather jacket slightly dangling from the chair at the far end of the room, suddenly lit up.

With a swift motion of her neck , she brought all her body as well as her attention to the guy sitting beside her just at an arms length.

Oh that face... she always thought his face has been personally sculpted by a God, carefully focussing on each and every detail.... just like tea.

If you aren't precise with the amount of sugar, tea leaves and cardamom you put in , it would turn out a disaster.

While with a certain amount of ingredients you'll end up making the perfect cup of tea... a flight to the ultimate serenity

His face WAS the perfect cup of tea and maybe HER flight to ultimate serenity.

Those eyes which could put the oceans to shame.

Those lips which could dishonour the roses anytime.

That cheekbone higher than the crescent or that jawline sharper than the paper that cut her middle finger in 5th grade and took ages to heal.

She could go on and on about how his face had been beautifully chiseled to perfection, yet looked more ordinary than her favourite drug store red lipstick.

As if his face had a secret lock and not everyone could unlock it to worship his features.

"Apologise" , he repeated this time his voice a little sterner than before. Something about his tone told her that he wanted to be done with it already.

The way he slowly and unconsciously tapped his finger on the border of the coffee table , each tap exactly one second delayed than the previous , maybe he too could no longer deal with this situation. He wanted to be done with it and maybe embrace her in his hug soothing both of their insides to tranquility.

Her lower lip quivered as she finally let out the words with a soft whimper. "I'm so so sorry", then taking a 30 seconds pause and readjusting her gaze on his face "I never thought you'd forgive me" she said with a little uncertainty as if she was herself unsure of the words that came out of her mouth.

"You're right I am not" , he smiled , "Just wanted to walk out with a satisfaction that you were sorry for what you did".
