Avery's POV
I never really wanted to be in the spotlight but since my sister is one of the most popular actresses in the world, I pretty much got dragged into it.
See my name is Avery Vinchester and my sister is Margaret Vinchester. We were the top girls in Hollywood and pretty much at every event possible.
We had just finished our first movie together and we were on the red carpet for the official premier with our family. We were taking a picture with our dad when everything changed.
"Margaret! Avery! Look here!"
"Girls! Over here!" Another reporter yelled.
Holding onto my dad so tightly I noticed how heavy he got all of a sudden. I heard a grunt come from him and I looked over to see his eyes roll back into his head and let go of him only to see him collapse to the floor.
"Dad!" Maggie screamed crouching down by his side.
My older and younger brother ran over to us. They kept trying to wake him up.
"Call 9-1-1!" Someone screamed. While I just stood there motionless staring at my best friend's lifeless body.
After that everything seemed like a blur. I think it was one of the paramedics that escorted me into the back of the ambulance while they tried to shock him back to life. All I heard was a ringing in my ear but I couldn't understand anything they said to me. I could barely feel Maggie clutching onto my arm for dear life and her wet tears landing on my arm and hand. I just kept staring at the fast moving scenery outside.
When we arrived at the hospital we were met but thunderous screams asking for an update on my father. Flashes kept going off but I couldn't even see those. I could faintly hear my brothers yelling at them to back off, but to no avail.
As soon as they stepped foot into the hospital we were told they would be going straight into surgery and so there I stood motionless again while I stared at my dad for the last time.
He never emerged from the operating room. They told us they did everything they could but his heart could no longer handle it.
That's what it took for me to finally feel something. And what I felt was an insurmountable amount of grief. I was the one who collapsed screaming for her dad. I couldn't take the pain anymore. I had to leave everything behind I couldn't handle this feeling.
So without turning back I got up off the ground and out of my siblings grips and ran.
"LIZZY! LIZZY WAIT!" I heard Matthew, the oldest scream after me.
I could hear the faint footsteps of Eric, the youngest trying to catch me, but I was too far ahead. I didn't know where exactly I was planning on going but I knew it had to be far, far away from here.
I hailed a taxi and got one right away thankfully. As soon as I stepped in his eyes widened when he saw my unforgettable blonde hair and my piercing blue eyes. "Um wh-where to Ms. Vin?" He stuttered calling me by our shortened last name.
"I guess the airport." I whispered.
I was thankful that the young cab driver did not attempt any conversation with me and drove me quickly and efficiently to LAX, before I got out however I asked him a question, "Name a place, any place in the world." I whispered to him, afraid my voice couldn't be any louder than that.
"Santorini." He said confidently.
"Greece it is then. I was never here." I said to him, more secure, and handed him 200 hundred dollars without looking back.
