Pain...

Everyone is probably familiar with pain. Pain comes in many ways. Maybe you're in pain because of a sickness, maybe joint inflammation (arthritis), maybe you heard of a friend in pain because of sickness, inflammation, and so on.

But let me actually name a few more... okay, several more that might strike closer to home. Rape (sexual assault), substance abuse, spouse abuse (domestic violence), loss of a loved one, depression, anxiety, divorce, breaking up with your bae (boyfriend or girlfriend), bullying, and so on.

Don't let go of good times and let the

Bad ones know you feel fine

-Christina Grimmie, lyrics from the song Advice

And one question comes up for the two groups of people. These are the groups, first are realistic people (or I guess secular) and second are the religious people. Pain comes and both parties ask the same question which is, "Why?"

But the answer is different for them. For I believe a lot of realistic or secular people (atheists, agnostic, other groups that don't believe in a god) answer pain with, "I don't want this," or, "This world is shit," or, "What's the point in living?"

Now for religious people, they go with the same answers but depending on the god and religion there is a group and maybe more but I know there is a group called Christians who have practically the same answer but they add another piece. For example, "I don't want this, but if it would bring someone closer to you God, so that person or people can trust you deeper, know you better, then it's worth it."

Those Christians add, "It's worth it."

But would you notice this?! Here is something I believe! No one wants to be in pain. No one. Both realistic and religious. Is it possible for realistic person to add the, "It's worth it," part to and when going through pain without connecting that to a god? Maybe, I guess that's up to you to find out.

But it seems to me that the Christians have something a person like me doesn't have. It seems to me they have something we need.
