The Day The World Fell Apart

A New Reality

Yamatsu strode down the dirt road looking left to right. He kept out a sigh turning his head to check on the sleeping make on his shoulder. A small smile crossed his lips. He couldn't help but think about the happier times. Before the world went to hell. Hector's light snores made it seemed as if the world wasn't walking with zombies.

If course scientist just had to go experimenting the dead. And now here they were trying their best as kids to survive in this God forsaken world. He opened the greats and walked through them shutting and locking them behind himself. He looked up at their new home. In this new reality.

He walked through the door and walked over to the couch where he laid down Hector. He made his way in the garage to check up on Chester who was currently working on the generator. He was trying to make it solar powered since gas was hard to come across now in days.

He opened the door and saw Chester working on the Generator with Qu who was clearly falling asleep. "Hey, how's it coming along?" Yamatsu's deep voice startled the two waking Qu right up. "Heh, I'm actually almost done with it I need about two days" Chester was very proud of himself for his work. Yamatsu nodded and with that he left. He jumped as he was met with a pair of blue eyes. "Hey, Tim and Tom" "Big brother Matsu!" They exclaimed happily.

The twins were happy that Yamatsu was back safely and were even more excited go them him they had looked after Miku while he was gone. "We looked after Miku for you" Tim the eldest said his eyes were a bit darker than Tom's eyes. "Well Bronze did feed her but we looked after him" Tom added as he was told to tell the truth.

"Well, we would've it's just the bottle was too hot for us to touch!" Tim said quickly. He wanted them to look strong for Yamatsu so they can start helping outside of the gates. Yamatsu chuckled and ruffled both their hair Tom happily accepted the hair ruffle. While Tim pushed Yamatsu's hand away "I'm too old for that" He looked away and puffed out his cheeks.

"You're seven." Tim still looked away from the male and crouch down on one knee. "Tim.. You and I know it isn't safe enough out there.. You're actually like you've never been outside of the gates.. And the last time you were you didn't eat anything... We thought we might not ever have you the same way again. Are you sure you're ready to go out there?" Yamatsu looked at time straight in his face.

Tim looked into Yamatsu warm blue eyes and burst into tears. "IT'S JUST I WANNA MAKE SURE YOU'RE OKAY I DON'T WANNA LOSE YOU TOO MATSU" He yelled. Yamatsu was kinda shocked by the sudden outburst. He picked Tim up and hugged rubbing his back to calm him down. He did and hugged Yamatsu snuggling closer to his brother. Yamatsu grabbed Tom's hand and walked into the living room.

They sat on the couch after fixing Hector on the other couch and yamatsu found some VHS tape playing some kid movies. Which he put on for the twins and gave them blanket "I'm gonna check on Miku" they nodded as he walked away. When he walked up stairs he saw Bronze holding Miku in his arms. "Where did you go?" He's voice chimed catching Matsu attention. "Hector and I was out to see if we could find some things.

He looked at Miku once more and then down the long halls. "Are you the only one up?"It was rather quiet and Yamatsu wasn't used to the silence. Bronze looked around himself and then shrugged "Probably so I know Hunter is asleep with Kyril and Haiden was asleep." He gave Miku to Yamatsu and was on his way back to his room. "Thanks Bronze" Bronze looks back at the pink haired male and nodded.

Bronze actually enjoyed kids unlike his sleeping boyfriend. He walked into his room and shut the door. Yamatsu looked down at Miku who's green eyes was looking right back at him. Her short messy brown curls made her look even more adorable. He yawned and smiled "How about we go take a nap" On cue Miku yawned as well causing Yamatsu to chuckle. He started walkover down the hall to get to his room.

Hunter woke up later that night staring at the dark the only source of like coming from the moon. He looked over to his right to see Kyril and Bronze sound asleep. He sat up and stretched looking around. He got out of the bed and looked out the window there they were the dead. They were just roaming around since they were blind. Though due to the fact their hearing was heightened.

He let out a sigh and closed the windows to their room and looked back at the sleeping figures. Bronze light out small snores as Kyril was probably the complete opposite they weren't extremely loud. But they were loud enough and probably what woke Hunter up. He walked out of the room but not before putting on some slippers.

He shut the door and began to make is make his way down stairs. His green eyes were kinda red due to the lack of sleep and his orange curls were messier than usual. He walked into the kitchen to see Chester and Raid talking. Raid looked up at him and waved as Hunter waved back. "Good middle of the night to you boys as well" Hunter chimed strolling pass the two to get to the sink. "You say that as if you're not a boy yourself" Raid said putting his semi long hair into a bun. "I'm not a boy I'm a Hunter." The Redhead said getting him some water.

Chester chuckled at what his best friend had said. "Remember that one time Raid had fell down the stairs and broke his arm." Raid blushed as the whole reason he fell down the stairs is because he tripped on his shoe laces. "Oh my god. That was funny as fuck!" Hunter laughed patting Raid on the head while drinking his water.

"It was not funny. " Raid always presented himself as careful and hated to be reminded of that moment. "Are you like not cold it's freezing" Chester said running his slender fingers through his dark gray hair with cyan tips. "What do you mean. " Hunter looked at Chester who was wearing a hoodie and then at Raid who had on a hoodie and a blanket. Then took note that he was only wearing his plaid boxers.

"Oh. Well. Nah. Through I'm good." Finished up his water and then sat his glass in the sink being too lazy to rinse it out. "What time is it?" He asked taking a seat next to Raid. Chester looked at his watch "3:39" He stated Hunter nodded and leaned back in his chair. "It's funny. It feels like just yesterday we were outside running away from Mr. Davis for stealing snacks." Raid nodded "Its weird how the world can be ruined in one block of the eye" "More like one drop of a serum" Chester added. They sighed and nodded.

How they all wish they could turn back time to a happier day. Who wouldn't, especially in a world where the dead roamed around. Though they all had their reason to exactly why they wanted to turn back time. Raid wanted to become the greatest scientist. Chester wanted to see Qu smile again. And Hunter well he just wanted for Kyril to grow up in a better world. But they knew those were all just dreams. But, oh how they could dream.
