I feel the butterflies in my stomach as I stand here waiting nervously for her to arrive. Yes, her. Who would have thought that I would go through with this? Who would have thought indeed?

I remember when we were just beginning. Everyone said that we were made for each other but too complicated to work out. That our fights overpowered our love for each other, but they're so wrong. Wrong indeed. Years have passed and yet here we are now, stronger than ever at the beginning of another journey in our life, at the beginning of our journey together.

Everyone at the entrance starts to line themselves in the sequence of the entourage, and I know she's here, she has arrived. She's here, and my hands start to feel clammy, sweat is starting to form on my forehead, I can feel it. I can't believe I'm being overly nervous, I can't believe that the confidence I'm famous for is nowhere to be found.

I inhale deeply as the music starts to flow throughout the entire church, the entourage walks forward, and I wait anxiously, yet excitedly. I itch to light a cigarette to calm down my nerves, though I know that even if I were to reach into my pockets, nothing would meet my hands aside from my phone. I quit that bad habit of mine the day she said 'yes'.

The air in my lungs leave me as I see  her walking down the aisle and suddenly everything and everyone's gone, the two of us are the only people in the whole world. Time slows down, and I don't feel my jitters anymore, I'm no longer nervous. All my mind can focus on right now is her and her beautiful face. The face I love to wake up to in the mornings, and the only woman I want to fall asleep with safely in my arms.

I can't believe she's mine. I know I don't deserve her after I've been the cause of most of her heartaches and yet, here she is, about to say she will be mine forever. She turned my whole world upside down. She's the reason I changed and became a better man. I love her completely. Yes, I, Simon Philip Cowell, am admitting that I'm head over heels in love with this crazy woman, my addiction, my only drug and my only cure.

As she approaches me, I can't help but remember the day she made me the happiest man in the world, the day she gave me that smile that is now evident through her veil, the smile that I can't help but return.

I remember it so well, like it happened yesterday...

***************

It was New Year's Eve, and she was spending it with me. Everyone thought that I was lazing around in Barbados with my horde of ex-s, but the truth was, I was lazing around on the soft bed of the master bedroom in my Malibu mansion, holding her securely in my arms.

"Baby, go back to sleep," she said and pecked my lips sleepily.

I couldn't help but chuckle at the normalcy of her actions. It was as if it weren't New Year's Eve to her.

"Baby, I would love to," I said, trailing soft kisses down her neck, nipping lightly on her collarbone and soothing it with my tongue. "But you wouldn't want to be sleeping for the entire year, now would you?"

She let out a moan, and I couldn't help but feel myself harden once again. I smiled at how much I can turn her on and her me, even though we've just had rounds of hot passionate love making half an hour ago.

"It's your fault for tiring me out," she said coyly as she kissed me, it wasn't aggressive like the one we shared before our little endeavor, but it was sensual enough to make me want more. But I stopped myself, I couldn't give into the sweet temptation that was laid out underneath me with a mischievous smile looking straight at me, if I wanted my plan to work perfectly.

"Come on, out of bed, love. We're going to celebrate this New Year right," I said as I lifted myself from her and sat on our bed. Yes, it was our bed. It had been for years and yet no one outside our inner circle knew about it. The rest of the world thought I was happily engaged, but I'm not, I never was. Not yet, I thought amusingly.
