I've never felt so much rage go through my body at once. I saw my dad running up to Jorge with an empty bottle of beer in his hand. I saw jorge lie his head down on the concrete and close his eyes.

I ran faster than I've ever ran before in my life and hit my dad with full force. His hand flew to his nose, streaming with blood and he screamed in pain. I turned to pick Jorge up who was crying and breathing heavily on the cold concrete floor.

I picked him up and held him on my hip and started to run. We got to the college and I opened the front door. Jorge ran in and I went to close the door to the main entrance before I felt a sharp pain in my nose.

I felt punches to my stomach before the security picked my dad up and held his hands back behind him.

He was screaming and kicking trying to get out of the guards grasps but they took him out the building.

I started making my way up to our dorm, struggling to walk and blood coming from my nose as I hobbled up the stairs.

I heard more footsteps and looked up to see Jorge with tears streaming down his eyes.
His mouth opened in shock and he ran over to me and helped me get to our room. When we got in, he locked the door and helped me over to the bed.

"Oh my god, oh my god" I heard him chant over and over while rushing to the bathroom to get the first aid box.

"Do I need to call an ambulance?"
He said quickly.

I shook my head and tried to smile at him.

He held a tissue up to my nose. Luckily it wasn't broken, it was just a nose bleed so it stopped in a couple minuits.

He dabbed another tissue on the cut I got from scraping my hip on the rough carpet.

He put an ice pack on my bruises and lay me down back on the bed.

He stroked my forehead and looked in my eyes before getting up to sort out the groceries which where sprawled put over the floor. He washed the fruits and veg and got two bowls out the cupboard.

I tried to see what he was doing but I knew he'd get angry if I sat up so I stayed down.

I got us two bowls out the cupboard and filled them with our childhood favourite thing to eat.

I kept trying to get the incident that just happened out my head but it kept coming back.

I shook my head and got back to what I was doing.

*13 yrs old*

I saw benji crying at the end of the bed so I went to the kitchen and made us something random. It was the first thing that came to my head so I just did it.

Vanilla ice cream with strawberries and broken up chocolate and chocolate chips on top. I also added a couple slice of bananas on top of the strawberries.

I drizzled it with chocolate sauce on it and stuck a wafer in the top.

I made one for me aswell and went back to benji. His dad had just shouted at him and walked out the house.

I put the bowls on the bed side counter and told benji to come to the headboard.

I put our favourite movie on, tangled, (😂) and I sat down next to him. I rubbed my hand on his and kissed him on the cheek. His face instantly softened up and he looked at me.

I looked deeply in his hazel brown eyes and put my hand on his cheek which he instantly leaned in to. I removed my hand slowly and turned to pick up the food.

I handed the bowl to Benji and he smiled a big grin and looked at me with an excited look. I smiled back at him and watched him dip his wafer in the ice cream and swirl before putting the chocolate chips on top.

He took a bite and looked at me in awe.

"Oh my god this is so good!"

I giggled and turned to watch the movie. He rested his head on my shoulder and kissed my hand before turning back to the TV.

F L A S H B A C K O V E R

I skilfully drizzled on the chocolate sauce and chocolate chips before putting in the wafer and strawberries. I grabbed a banana and cut it just like I did back then.

I made on for myself and made my way over to the bed.

Benjis looking at me with a smirk while I go to turn on the TV.

"Close your eyes Benjamin"

"What why?"

I sighed angrily and he just laughed.

"Ok you know what? I'll do it myself then!" I said. He chuckled and I grabbed a scarf and flung it round his eyes before tying it at the back.

"I don't trust you" I hear him say.

I gasp and hit him gently before leaning in to kiss him.

I put tangled (rapunzel) on and paused it just when it started so he didn't get any hints.

"Hold out your hands Benjamin" I say.

He holds out his hands and I pull the blanket over both of us.

I put the bowl in his hands and press play on the movie. I remove his blindfold and he squinted gently and the light.

He looked at the TV and down at the bowl and turned to me with tears in his eyes.

I put my hand on his and kissed his cheek just like I did back then and his face softened.

I looked deeply in his and and put my hand on his cheek.

He let out a quick sob before leaning into my hand.

I sniffle and let a tear slip down my cheek.

I close my eyes and press my forehead against his and kiss his falling tears.

I move my head away from his and kiss him softly.

After a couple seconds I pull away and I hear him sniffle again.

He smiles down at me and I smile back.

He slowly reajustes his position, wincing at the slight pain and looked down at his food. He picks up his spoon with excitement and...throws it across the room?

He picks up his wafer and swirls it in the ice cream and sprinkled the chocolate chips on top. He takes a bite and his eyes widen. I watch him take another bite and he looks at me.

"Just as good as it was years ago." He smiles showing his perfect teeth.

I laughed and turned to watch the movie. I felt his head fall to my shoulder and picked up my hand before kissing it.

I smiled and wiped the tears from my eyes before I dug in to my food and got back to the movie.
