It's been 10 years since Gray gave his life to save the world from Kai and his companion Scar, during this time Sabi, Gray's brother, has been living his life with his wife, Serina, and son, Matthew. During his time in the afterlife Gray caught up with his father Mazo, who was killed by Kai. During his training Gray can't seem to break the other Omni limiter and he and his father spar. Currently Gray wears his father's gi, an orange shirt similar to his regular outfit but orange and no sleeve's and a couple holes in it and same with his pants just like his but also has some holes in it. He thanks him helping him connect with his father more. Mazo tells Gray more about the Omni form telling him if he fused with Sabi again they would have break the limiter and be on par with the Omni King Zeno. Mazo: "Gray you almost mastered this form and I'm guess Sabi is training too. Remember son you only have 24 hours to visit when do you think is the right time?"
Gray always thought about this, "when do I want to go, what's a good time?" he pondered. Mazo: "Gray? You in there?" Gray: "Hmm? Oh yeah, yeah um. I don't know dad. I really don't." Mazo: "Son, I know it's tough and you want to see your brother, and your nephew, but you only got 24 hours and you'd have to do a lot of things during those hours, it's difficult yes but think we may not know if the threat is over or not. We need to figure out how to break that limiter and unlock your full power. Wait hold on Gray look at the orb of the Kai's there's something there."
They see in the orb a ship with someone looking out the window coming to Earth. Gray: "Who the hell? Who is that why does he look familiar? Dad do you know who that is?" Mazo clinches his fist enough to make them bleed. Mazo: "SON OF A BITCH! It's Nova. Damn it I should've killed him when I had the chance." Gray:" Dad what the hell is going on who is Nova?" Mazo is livid he's never been this mad before. Mazo:" Gray there's no time contact your brother go to King Yemma today is the day you come back to Earth you and your brother need to stop Nova." Gray:" Wait what dad hold on you want me to go to Earth? Now? Dad I only have 24 hours. Will you explain who the hell Nova is on the way to King Yemma's? While on their way Mazo tells Gray that Nova is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get what he wants, because of Nova Mazo turned Super Saiyan and Nova wasn't seen in a century.
Nova: "Ah, Earth. Such a peaceful planet, wouldn't be such a shame if I destroy it. Oy Sebas where did you say the statue of Mazo's son is?" Sebas: " My Lord it is said to be in the middle of east city. I'm confused Lord Nova why did you decide to come here?" A flashback starts and it shows Mazo fighting Nova and defeating him. Nova: " Revenge."
