A.N. I'm glad you're here!!! I'm actually super proud of this and I just presented it to my AP English class in 3rd hour today and was received rather nicely.

It is a horror comedy fairy tale (if that makes any sense) and is pretty great.

I'll let you get to reading though because I'm kinda rambling and have a lot to do tonight!

(Picture unrelated, I took it a county fair a while ago and found it again. The bunny's just too cute to be ignored!)

Enjoy, y'all!!!

-------------------------------------------------------

In a hidden village far, far away, there lived a young lad named Gierig. He had a best friend named Sanntach.

The two have been best friends for years and did everything together; they went to the market together, played games together, spent almost all their time together, and both hid their feelings from each other. They're gay.

But along with their suppressed homosexuality, they were greedy. Both wanted riches upon riches upon riches!!!

After all, they learned connivery and the art of scamming from their own greedy fathers, who raised them solely, due to the absence of their mothers. Gierig and Sanntach entered this practice as a team and are staying that way, just as their fathers have done.

Ultimately, that is who they have been gathering money for. The duo's remaining parent team has been put into jail for stealing the head guard's prized sword. The boys implemented these wrongful tactics in their own lives to gather gold.

They scammed many travelers out of their money, at least those that were naive enough to believe them. The two would spin the most outrageous tales to convince people of the powerful items they possessed. Magical beans, poisoned apples, and cursed objects to bring down one's enemies.

They were rich.

Yet, their greed held no bounds. They wanted more to keep for themselves.

There's been rumors and stories spread about hidden treasures within the Forest of Illusion. Heaps and heaps of gold and diamonds buried deep within the forest's heart.

And they were gonna take it.

They spent time researching the area and what to expect within the forest's boundaries, and all research led them to the existence of monsters inhabiting its grounds. And the Forest of Illusion is foretold to hold the scariest monster of all, Kresh.

No one knows what it looks like. All they know is that no one ever comes out alive.

They planned for two days and two nights, and on the dawn of the final day, they headed out.

Following paths of past adventurers, Gierig and Sanntach forged onward at a swift pace. They traveled miles within a day and stopped to rest for the night when the path was no longer paved by travelers.

The two settled apart with a tree betwixt them, getting comfortable for the night.

Both were nervous as to how far they've gotten into the woods, as the deeper one goes, the worse it will become. Yet, they stowed their fears and had a friendly chat instead.

"Sanntach, we're so close to getting our fathers' bails."

"I know, Gierig, once we find all of the riches of the forest, we'll be able to bail them out and have money for ourselves to build a mansion!"

"Except separate mansions."

"Yeaaaaah... it'd be weird if we lived togetheeeeeeeer..."

An awkward silence lay heavy among the forest floor as they tried to avoid making eye contact.
